"US Sports Perfection" Strategy - June 2019 Update

As many of you are aware, over the last few months I have been posting my mix of IPTV providers in order to achieve what I am now calling "US Sports Perfection". To remind everyone, my goal is NOT to have the cheapest set up. Rather, it is to be able to watch any and every US Sports or Premium event in 60fps FHD/HD when I choose to watch it. This could be NBA playoffs, Boxing PPV or GOT final episode... but I want perfect feeds every time. The fact that no one could possibly provide perfect feeds every time simply means that I need a collection of providers that between them, ponies up a perfect feed every time without having to go through "heroic measures". Additionally, I want all of my US cable channels and premiums (for the wife mostly). And I need a little catchup, particularly for MSNBC.

---- MY CURRENT PROVIDER MIX ----

After opining last time that I just might need to add a fourth provider in order to really seal the deal, this update finds me doing exactly that. Here is my current 4 provider mix:

  1. ***NEW*** Cool As Ice (bought from u/Rwin01) - This outfit is brand new to me as of this update. I saw some good banter about them and decided to give them a try. They were deficient on their channel offerings, but after PM'ing u/Rwin01 they quickly added everything that I felt was necessary to call them a "Premium Provider". The channels are now there, in glorious HD/FHD 60fps! Likewise, while CAI offers some Catchup channels, I found that my beloved MSNBC wasn't one of them. However, u/Rwin01 quickly fixed that for me. u/Rwin01 has demonstrated that he cares about his customers and really wants to provide a high end service. I'm very pleased to welcome them to the mix! (NOTE: they are currently in the process of adding US Regionals to their offering... an addition that is both welcomed and necessary.)

  1. Jarvis (bought from u/Jarvis912) - Jarvis is a reseller of Primestreams. Great 60fps FHD/HD feeds of pretty much every US Sports network, regional and premium feed. These guys are good and getting better. Also, if you are a fan of VOD (not my thing, but probably some of you love it), Jarvis has an extremely inexpensive addon service called Hitman for just this purpose.

  1. Inferno (bought from u/Jcast356) - This streamer is using the same HQ sources that Beast did, but they have an entirely different server infrastructure that is rock solid. It reminds me of the outstanding Beast service of 6-12 months ago. Thank you, u/Jcast356, for bringing Inferno to my attention.

  1. Helix (bought from https://helixhosting.ninja/) - While they are a little inconsistent, the availability of multiple feeds for virtually every channel pretty much ensures that Helix has a HD/FHD 60fps stream of everything I'm looking for. Add to that the fact that they have Catchup on over 900 channels, and Helix becomes a necessary addition to my provider pool. There are multiple resellers of this service as well as the official page that I've listed, and I will probably move to a reseller version as soon as my sub is up for renewal since the resellers often provide some "extras" for the same or less money (talk to u/Jcast356, for example).

---- PRICING ----

My current monthly price for these 4 providers is approximately $37USD. I run them through TiViMate ($5USD/year), an app that I feel is easily the best IPTV player available anywhere (although it doesn't do Catchup... I use IPTV Extreme Pro for that). A subscription to Xtream-Editor still keeps the total price under $40/month and allows me to customize the lineup and folder groupings to my exacting standards. Your pricing may vary depending upon term lengths, promotions, etc. For this outlay, I get everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) that I could possibly want out of "Live TV". This is probably over kill for some of you, but it suits me very well.

---- NOTES ----

  1. People ask me why I use 4 providers when this costs me as much as subscribing to mainstream services. The answer is simple, I cannot attain my objective of being able to watch any US Sports event by using nothing but mainstream providers. The need for ALL of the US Sports regional channels means that I need to use IPTV to provide the necessary exposure.

  1. I often see posts in this sub along the lines of "Why use a reseller when I can just go to the source?". Let me be perfectly clear... I far prefer using an honest, reputable and dedicated reseller. I can already hear you skeptics scoffing that this person doesn't exist, but I wholeheartedly disagree... all of the reseller that I've listed above have gone out of their way to work with me in ensuring that their product suits my needs. They have been stellar in supporting me, working with me on pricing and packages, and just being solid people that I truly enjoy working with. Thank you all!

  1. YOU CAN HELP ME. Look at my desirements above. Look at what I have. Look at who I've liked (and why). Look at the "Not For Me" list below. Have I missed someone who provides a unique service? Have I completely missed the mark with my synopsis reviews? Is there just someone else that I really, really need to check out? Please help me figure out who belongs in my provider mix above! I would really love some ideas. BUT... if you are going to suggest a provider, please be certain to tell me WHY THEY WOULD IMPROVE MY IPTV WATCHING EXPERIENCE as it relates to my stated objective above.

  1. A word about "trials". I really don't believe that a 24-48 hour trial does much of anything to help you evaluate their suitability. Most of these trials aren't available for weekends or PPV events, making it very difficult to glean much useful data from the experience. In my opinion, you should do your research first (read reviews, gather channel lists, ask questions on Reddit), and then you should bite the bullet and subscribe for a full month. Take the time to integrate them into your watching environment (Xtream-Editor, TiViMate favorites, etc). Live with them... and then (and only then), make your decision as to their suitability. If they are close, but not quite there... perhaps contact your friendly and helpful reseller (see #2) and discuss it with them. You may be amazed at what can be accomplished when you work with your reseller to make things mutually beneficial.

  1. For those who kept accusing me of never saying bad things about providers, re-read this and eat your words... I simply state the truth (or my current and honest view of it) and really don't worry much about it. It all becomes transparent over time.

---- NOT FOR ME ----

Providers that have not worked out for me along with reasons why...

Crystal Clear / XStreamZ - This provider has drifted on and off of my radar several times in the last 2 years. As of this moment, they are off because they dropped all of their catchup channels. The feeds are pretty good, many in HD/FHD 60fps. Unfortunately, they are having some current problems with buffering and dead channels. I'm sure that I'll end up trying them again in the future (I always do).

Eternal, Area51, TNT, GE - all cheap services that work, and in some cases offer reasonable stability... but the picture isn't good (terrible frame rates) to the point that they give me a headache.

Twisted - I no longer feel very comfortable with Twisted. Something happened when one of their official resellers (28statemedia) had a bad breakup with Twisted, and they "lost my account". The fact that they made me eat a remaining 5 month sub is inexcusable. I have had some users tell me that this was not Twisted's fault. But I got screwed, nonetheless, and so I sense bad juju there... regardless of who caused the problem.

Beams - After last time's writeup, I tried them again since so many people speak so highly of Beams... but I remain unimpressed. It isn't cheap, doesn't have great USA channel selection and has mostly 30fps feeds... but it is stable. Not good enough to remain viable in my provider pool.

Gears - This is a high priced provider with terrible video quality. I don't understand the crack that y'all are smoking!

Epicstreams - Another high priced provider with some key channels missing. Add to that the fact that many of their US feeds are sub-60fps, and it's just not working for me.

Nitro, Beast - Expensive providers with great lineups that just lack in the stability department. I can't watch a solid hour without some sort of glitch. See Inferno above for an interesting Beast alternative.

FAB, Flawless, ACE, Vader - R.I.P.

---- RESELLER NOTICE ----

A note to resellers/providers - Do NOT post a bunch of PM me links below without explaining WHY I should want your service in the context of my post above. Do NOT say contact me for pricing. Do NOT tell me to waste my time on your fucking product by taking a trial that may or may not even come close IF you can't even be bothered to read my post and explain your rationale. You guys shoot yourselves in the foot way, way, way better than I ever could! That being said, if you really think that my provider mix could be improved by utilizing your service, please PM me and let me know EXACTLY WHY this is the case... I'm all ears!

SRS IPTV - charged for service but none provided.

So I heard some good things about SRS and my neighbour swears its the best service hes ever used. Having witnessed it at his house i thought id give it a try. I signed up a few days ago and made payment for a 6 month sub. My invoice shows as paid but since the payment went out i havent had any communication from them at all. I can log in to see that my service status is "pending" but i cant access the portal or download an M3U. I opened a support ticket to see if there was an issue but no repsonses to that either. Looks like £35 quid down the drain. I know this isnt a review but wanted to share my experience.

Update: SRS got back to me after a few days. Not sure what the delay was but I've got it up and running now. Seems to work well, not had any buffering at the moment. Only thing I dont like is most of the UK channels are lumped into one category. Music, kids, lifestyle, documentaries etc are all in one category. They have seperated the sports and movies at least. Just in time for the Champions League final too.

Had no trouble with TVX1, got good bandwidth even in remote areas, and they have a free trial for those who want to test my claims. I recommend it.

Twitty TV (twittytv.com) Review from a Reseller

Use this service at your own risk!

It was bad from the start. I got a trial. Everything was good. I wanted specific things. Mainly sports packages that listed every game and pay per view events that did the same instead of the same section everyone else has that just has links that say MLB 1-20 and you have to click them all looking for something.. I had came from being a Gears TV reseller with a handful of customers and wanted them to have a similar experience with my service so I was very picky about what I needed.

He said he had all of that but didn't have Catch Up TV. He ended up offering me $500 for 500 credits with Super Reseller panel so I could have my own resellers... I had already been looking at something else that had everything I wanted, but the price was so good that I jumped on it.

I think I bought in on Friday. On Saturday there was a big fight on PPV. I couldn't find it and I messaged him and asked what was up. I was like look, I told you exactly what I need and you said you have it all. Could he help me.. He said "it's Saturday, I'm at a hockey game and I'll get back to you Monday. You didn't have no complaints when you took the trial".

I told him there's no way I could switch my customers over from Gears to this. They would be lost. He responded with something about me having buyers remorse and crying and that I probably spent all my rent money... He was being an a**hole for no reason. We went back and forth for awhile.

I finally ended up telling him 'look b*tch, I don't need your attitude. I just need you to support your sh*t'..

Never talked to him again. Emailed their support once to ask a question. I'm pretty sure it was him but he just pretended he was someone else and responded. I sold one sub and it went down so I ended up having to give the customer another sub that I paid for. And at that point I went with the other company. But still had the reseller panel with him and 498 credits.

About a week ago I could no longer log in and I contacted him through facebook and he started talking sh*t saying he is the one that got f*cked and they f*cked him over too... But he's still the contact over there and runs all their emails and pages. It seems that he may have gotten his service working now, but this guy is just a piece of sh*t. If that's how he treats the people that work with him I feel sorry for his customers.

Fast IPTV

Currently trialling https://www.fastip.tv.

Very impressed with the logical grouping of channels, and most of them are available in SD, HD, and FHD, so usable with different Internet speeds.

For the F1 fans, this service has the F1 TV channels as well.

Minimal buffering on the UK channels, plenty of other EU channels, good EPG.

I like this service a lot when compared to other ones, especially since the inclusion of Italian, German, and Spanish sports channels, there are multiple redundancies for watching F1.

Coolasice 3 Month Review

My initial review can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/IPTVReviews/comments/ame7wn/coolasiceco_2_week_review/

Ok so been with these guys 3 months now.

Pros:

Sky Sports in 1080 (as of yesterday I think). Sports Corner

Catchup on every channel (yet to find one not with catchup)

Dedicated Sports Sections for EPL, EFL, NHL etc...

Great support via discord and site

Cheap and x3 conns by default now

VOD seems instantly updated

Cons: US epg seems mixed up maybe my device tho as UK is fine

Main admin can be a little abrupt but he doesn’t seem to know much, the rest are spot on especially the new guy

Rating: still 8/10 but would advise them as a main now instead of a backup!

Rocket Streams Review

Hi everyone!

My name is AJ, a newbie to IPTV service and had been looking for a reliable service for mainly English channels and South Asian channels for my parents. I was hopping from trial to trial testing out services until I landed on Rocket Streams. Not only did they provide a 24 hr trial, they were helpful in guiding me to setup. In those 24 hrs, I experienced no problems, no buffer (my device is ethernet connected), and I was satisfied with the channel selections so I decided to sign up with them. Rocket Streams has an amazing VOD and TV series section for English and even Hindi. The EPG on Rocket Streams is great as well, though on South Asian channels it could take a few mins for the information to load which isn't a breaker for me. Rocket Streams doesn't do auto renewal, but they do send you an email to remind you to renew with ample time before your service expires. I also like that they do discount promotions for customers. The service is already cheap, but it becomes cheaper which is lovely.

When I had streaming issues with one of the NBA Playoff games on TNT, I had many backup options like Canada TNT, TSN (Canada sports), and NBA channels. Usually, many of the sports channels have a backup channel. My parents have access to South Asian channels so it keeps them happy. I only had one time where English and Hindi channels had a problem showing up, but that was because of my device. When it happened, I put in a support ticket with Rocket to resolve the issue, they responded within the hour, and did everything they could until I realized it was my device's firmware that needed an update. After i updated it, everything was normal as usual. I commend Rocket Streams for their time and effort put in even though the problem wasn't on their end.

Service - 9/10 EPG - 8/10 Customer Service - 9/10

1Vision = Scam. Avoid! This company is just TNT Media rebranded to double-charge!

I don't typically write reviews but felt compelled to here.

1Vision is a scam, pure and simple. Here's what's happening, remember TNT Media? Everyone was head over heels with, well all of the sudden a channel went missing here, a channel missing there. Eventually, it kept getting cut down and down.

As is typical, people would ask the TNT admins in the discord what's going on and they wouldn't answer. In fact, they would delete the message and ban them. Eventually, they said they are shutting down soon and "because we love you customers, we want you to use a great provider we found for you. It's 1Vision, here's their discord and how to buy".

WOW! How nice of them! They found someone new for us and what a coincidence, all those missing channels are on the new service. The website/theme that is used is basically the same by the way, which is doubly funny. What are the chances that two totally different (wink wink) services use the same sort of website theme??? In fact if you bought a lifetime service to TNT, they'll move to 1vision for free. How nice of this completely random service to take on all those lifetime accounts.

Anyways, like an idiot I pay for the new service (there were no trials by the way). Buffering like crazy, big events like sports/ppv lag like hell. The old owners weren't really that bad, not sure if they're the same, but the new owner of 1ivison are scummy fucks. I'm in their discord now and the way this new admin responds to people, it's like you're bothering him by suggesting a channel could be down.

I tried asking one of the admins for help as well on an issue and was basically laughed at because, hey, I paid so what use am I to them? I wouldn't be so upset if the buffering wasn't so crap.

Well, with superior options like Inferno, crystal, Helix, you're better off avoiding this garbage service and their even bigger garbage customer service.

a newbs review of crystal clear

First off, I am starting with, I am not tech savy by any means but wanted to save money cuz cable is too freaking expensive now and i dont watch that much tv to warrant it.

I found crystal clear by stalking the iptv subs and found a reseller (if you want his name, msg me) that took care of me. I did not do the trial cuz after talking with the reseller, he explained that a 24 hour experience is kind of hard to get a true feel of a service. As I've learned over the last 60 or so days, iptv has its ups and downs.

I am watching crystal on a amazon 4k stick and using the app that came with it. Im told its a branded iptv smarters. I like it because I can set favorites and easily find what I need. Or I can use the categories. I like how the categories are separated out. Makes it easy to find something if I didnt set it as a favorite. Quality is great. I watch on a 55 and 75 inch tv and couldnt be happier when watching the Dodgers or not the Cavs in the playoffs. From time to time there was buffering during a big thing like nba game, but was fixed quickly and then back to normal and wouldnt know it was iptv.

I do watch regular tv too, but its mainly for background noise. I just watch US channels, nothing else. I lvoe the 24/7 section. Whenever there is an issue with one of them, I report it to my reseller and he gets it reported. Most get fixed pretty quick. I love it. I do have access to canada channels but dont use.

I do not have super fast internet, just 100mbps and no crazy special router or anything. It just works. Which I love for a newb like me. Did I mention Im a newb? ;0) For my needs and watching, I would highly recommend it. I would rate it 5 stars. I have learned from stalking the subs and talking to my reseller (Im sure he wnts to kill cuz I ask so many questions), that iptv is not flawless but rate it in how the majority of service is for you and how quick things are fixed. And they fix things quickly. Ive had 1 ppv event so far with friends over and everyone thought it was pay per view. No issues at all. I will be def staying with crystal.

Beast refusing to issue refund

For whatever reason - I'm not sure how it happened at all... Beast took 8 different payments from me over the course of a few days. I pointed this out to them and, at first, they were very helpful - I explained that I'd just like to be refunded for 7 of the transaction and to keep one active. They issued me a new log-in and activated my account right away and said they would issue a refund for the other transactions. A week or so later I checked back in with them, all apologies and the refund will be issued "today". Now another week or so later they've completely changed their tune and are contradicting themselves in every message. Avoid these losers at all costs.

Best Cheap Backup I've Tried- RIOT STREAMS

Review: Riot Streams
Location: Facebook group: Riot Streams Support
Cost $5 per month for 2 connections   $35.00 for a year 2 connections  (5 connections also available)
Payment methods: Zelle and  Paypal
My setup for testing:  I tested this on my dual band wifi router running on my 5ghz connection. 115 mbps. latency/ping 41ms. I used both a 2nd gen firestick and an Android phone running Android 8.00
Experience: I have tested approximately 70 or more services and watched detailed reviews on countless others
Both devices I used the IPTV Smarters app version 2.0.3, OTT, XC and app they call "Pro".
Now the service:  Riot has most every channel you would be looking for. It's not going to be my primary provider but at the cost it makes a phenomenal backup. They do not have trials, however at $5 for a month or $35 for a year it's very much worth the shot.  If you aren't looking for all the frillz and extras, I highly recommend this service. Sure you'll pay more for catchup and VOD but do you really need that in a backup?
Sports:  This has all of the sports packages you are looking for however they are not labeled with an EPG or teams playing name. To find the game you are looking for you might have to click thru a few channels to find it. However, the channels are there and do work during the live events.
EPG-  The EPG appears to be lacking but there are a few channels. These seem to come and go in quality with many services lately, not just this one.
VOD/Series- Previously this service had VOD. It went away like many in the past couple weeks given the situation with another GIANT service.  This may or may not come back in the future.
Buffer-  WHILE EVERY SYSTEM IS DIFFERENT, I experienced the occasional  buffer during my testing at peak viewing times. This did line out pretty quickly and was not observed on all channels at that same time. (tested from two devices at once). Riot seems to take an extra second or so to switch between channels (except on Pro app which was markedly better than others for this). This can happen on any service during peak times but again I am billing this as a backup service not the primary.
Summary- Riot is the little engine that could honestly. It's a no frillz backup service that does just that. It provides you all of the channels you are going to need as a backup to any other service you might already have. I HIGHLY recommend a backup to any service, no matter HOW great the other service is. Simply having a secondary service with potentially different feed sources makes all of the difference in a true outage situation. Do you really want to be stuck missing the big game because your provider went down? Plan B is something everyone should have. For me Riot is just that. If a person really was not picky, they might even view riot as their primary solution to their TV viewing needs.
Other services by this seller-
Da Fire Streamz Gold- Da Fire Streamz Gold is a robust service offering over 8,600 channels. It's nicely broken out into categories for easy access. This services offers the standard PPV and sports packages you'd come to expect from all of your main players.   The thing that sets this service apart for me is that it switches between channels very quickly. This is a primary service that is exceptional. Gold offers 72 hour catchup on over 200 channels! Pricing runs $9 per month for 2 connections  $1 for 24 hour trials  Package and multi-month deals available. Facebook group: Da Fire Streamz
Be sure to ask for GOLD when looking at this product so it does not get confused with the other product called Da Fire Streamz (the original one).

Latest "Current Strategy" Updates

So, as those who frequent this place know, I periodically post updates on my current IPTV strategy. I try to update these if and when I make changes. And so I am providing my updates.

My previous strategy required some changing up after Vader bit the big one and died. That meant that I needed to replace Vader, but also as a result of the shake up, two of my erstwhile solid providers are no longer very solid... Beast and Xstreamz.

Beast is the biggest loser with this update. My previous BEST server is now pretty much unwatchable and buffers a horrendous percentage of the time. It is not salvageable. Xstreamz, on the other hand, has simply started to give me headaches. But to clarify, I haven't had a clean night from them in a week. They are, therefore, also on the chopping block.

To remind people, my goal is NOT to have the cheapest set up. I also occasionally need the ability to have reliable Catchup feeds, particularly of MSNBC.

So, my current provider pool, after losing Beast and Xstreamz, looks like this:

  • Jarvis - Great 60fps FHD/HD feeds of pretty much every US Sports network, regional and premium feed. These guys are good and getting better. I buy this from u/jarvis912. ###note: it has been brought to my attention that Jarvis is actually a resell of Primestreams. Thank everyone who made me aware.
  • Helix - My absolute go to for Catchup now gets double duty providing backups to Jarvis for many Sports and network regionals. Helix sometimes includes several feeds, but only one is 60fps... so it takes a fair amount of jiggling the lineup to get this just right. But, many/most of my required 60fps FHD/HD feeds are here and stable.
  • Inferno - This was a new name to me that one of my trusted resellers (u/jcast356) brought to my attention. While the lineup is still in a little flux, it is clear that they offer some very nice feeds, particularly of US Sports. 60fps baby!
  • another TBD??? - Probably will need another service. The good news is that things got a lot cheaper with this latest incarnation. The bad news is that I still think it's a little bit incomplete/immature. I've looked at a few other services for this slot (Proton, Beams/BBTV, Twisted [see note below]), but I haven't found anything that really works. The other good news is that I have time to figure this out since my summer watching slump is currently kicking in (I just fucking hate baseball and golf!)

My Twisted note is that ever since the 28statemedia debacle occurred, I no longer feel very comfortable with Twisted. The fact that they "lost my account" in the sale is very bad. The fact that they made me eat a remaining 5 month sub is inexcusable. Bad juju there.

For those who kept accusing me of never saying bad things about providers, re-read this and eat your words... I simply state the truth (or my current and honest view of it) and really don't worry much about it. It all becomes transparent over time.

YOU CAN HELP ME... look at my desirements above. Look at what I have. Look at who I've liked (and why). Look at the "Not For Me" list below. Please help me figure out who belongs in the TBD box above! I would really love some ideas.

"Not For Me" - Providers that have not worked out for me along with reasons why...

Eternal, Area51, TNT, GE - all cheap services that work, and in some cases offer reasonable stability... but the picture isn't good (terrible frame rates) to the point that they give me a headache.

Twisted - see the note above

Beams - it isn't cheap, doesn't have great USA channel selection and mostly 30fps... but it is stable.

Gears / Epicstreams - High priced providers with terrible video quality. I don't understand the crack that y'all are smoking!

----------------

A note to resellers/providers - Do NOT post a bunch of PM me links below without explaining WHY I should want your service in the context of my post above. Do NOT say contact me for pricing. Do NOT tell me to waste my time on your fucking product by taking a trial that may or may not even come close IF you can't even be bothered to read my post and explain your rationale. You guys shoot yourselves in the foot way, way, way better than I ever could!

Royalty Tv Review

I am new to the iptv scene. Contacted Royalty TV with some questions and they were very prompt in their live chat/email afterwards. I took them up on a free trial and since have bought a 6 month subscription. My need was network TV and live sports.

Customer service 10/10 - prompt to the point replies in live chat and email by the owner himself.

EPG 10/10 -The EPG is actually great and full schedule (other trials epg had lots of blanks). I haven’t found any channels that don’t work and all the ones I’ve tried so far are HD and look great.

Connection 10/10 - My connection is only 10mbps (bursts a bit higher sometimes) but the links don’t buffer for more than 3 seconds some instant play. No freezing

Channel Selection 10/10 (for me) - my needs were sports and USA/CAN networks and they are there and organized well.

Overall no regrets . Looking forward to renewing with them in 6 months time. Smooth and steady so far.

Good job guys one happy customer here :)

Review of Crystal and Beast (almost one month in)

Ok, so with anything, take this as you will...

I signed up just about a month ago for Crystal and Beast (if you wish to know with whom, you can message me). I sampled a few different ones, Crystal and Beast obviously, Jarvis, Guerrilla, and did a TON of reading as a family member has IPTV from a local provider using a mag box (service unknown as seller would not disclose). I have 3 feeds of Beast and 2 of Crystal, have a 600mbps down/50mbps up connection, run 2x Minix android boxes and 3x Firestick basics.

Here are my observations thus far: When using Crystal I find the overall quality acceptable, with little to no artifacting (yes I know that’s not really a word, but you get my point). The channel selection is what I need with a good mix of all locations. This is the main service I have in my kids rooms, which allows them to watch pretty well anything at any time. The service has been “up” the entire time, with the occasional channel issue. Most are quickly resolved through an error report, which is addressed ASAP.

When using Beast, the quality is great. From what I understand, the bitrate on Beast is higher, and it appears to produce a much sharper image on my TV’s. The channel line-up is almost identical (technically it is for the standard channels, except some internationals). Similar to Crystal, it has been “up” the entire time so far, with the exception of the odd channel having issues, which are usually fixed quite quickly.

As a rating for them, I would say 8/10 overall for both. My reasoning for this is because I feel that the available content is perfect for my family and I, the function/usability of the two are simple enough for my kids to manage, and the “up” time so far has been great. However, nothing is ever perfect and everything has its flaws (albeit minor), such as missing audio channels from time to time, failing channel loads, and inaccurate EPG info (which can be manually fixed). The biggest deciding factor for me was dealing with the seller. They were more than happy to answer all my questions (trust me, I had a lot), they didn’t make me feel dumb for some of the stuff I asked (and they easily could have), and were very upfront with can/can’t be done.

If I have missed something that you would like to know, please let me know and I’ll answer what I can. I realize this is only about a month in, so I will update as time goes on, but so far I am happy with my service.

Here’s a review. It’s fucking worthless. Nonstop buffering on everything and another week of live game of thrones not working at all. Trash... stay away

u-host review (Global Package)

General

Been using u-host for the past week using the Global Package which is 12$/month.

After a week - not very impressed by u-host.

Unpopular streams are OK, but popular ones are mostly problematic. I especially bought this package to get access to MMA events, F1 races and HBO. In most of these 3 cases, streams have been normal to poor.

The good thing about this package you get all the channels you will ever need, but at the same time you get too many to rapidly get an idea of what's in there.

And I already know what some will say, of course popular channels will buck, but then how about finding a solution for many of us are looking for an alternative to cable? If a provider can't manage the popular streams, what's the point? Food for thought.

My setup

As for my setup, my platform of choice is a mac mini connected to my TV. To do, you need to use VLC (playlist) and then find the best channel you can for an event. But as there are sooo many channels and the naming convection is really poor, it rapidly becomes cumbersome to find what you want, or one that works well.

Took me 20 minutes to find a stream for UFC 237 last night... This sucks.

Conclusion

Anyway, thought some would be interested, and at this point I simply can't recommend the service. Looking for other options.

Helix hosting review

Been with these 3 months now and so far so good. I use this service for watching all types of tv channels as we don’t have an aerial. This ranges from garbage daytime tv to sport and the occasional PPV.

EPG is accurate and works for around 90% of the channels if not more. Most importantly the channels are listed in good order and separated into sensible groups requiring almost no changes in perfect player.

Lots of HD channels with little to no buffering. Have noticed a small amount of infrequent downtime which occurs across all channels simultaneously but seems to only last half an hour or so tops.

All in all one of the better services I have used and at €7 euros a months for all UK channels including sport what’s not to love.

Olganet IPTV

I used to use premiumiptv.co for my IPTV needs but UK ISPs were blocking it and they didn't support VPNs so I decided to look elsewhere. I put a message out on /r/iptvresellers and I get a message from olganet1983 about his service and it fit what I wanted so I got a trial and all seemed well. I sent the money and received the m3u promptly.

The service worked great with the VPN and was barely getting any lag for the first 2 weeks. After 2 weeks however, the channels suddenly stopped working and I messaged him to troubleshoot the problem. I've been through the usual checklist of problems (different devices, change VPN, 4G and WIFI etc) to no avail. Every now and again, Sky 1 comes available but then it goes down a couple hours later. The server doesn't even seem to be reachable so I asked for a refund for the rest of the time I have left. He has yet to answer me but he's still actively selling on /r/iptvresellers with the same email. I'm just going to chalk this up as one of the risks but hopefully this review will help others.

Edit:

premiumiptv.co has sorted me out with a free month and the new line they gave me works great with my VPN! They were always a professional outfit and the problems I was having were on my side (I was able to watch on my 4G device but not on WIFI). Been with them for over a year and thoroughly recommend them!
