Helix hosting review

by HerbsML

Been with these 3 months now and so far so good. I use this service for watching all types of tv channels as we don’t have an aerial. This ranges from garbage daytime tv to sport and the occasional PPV.

EPG is accurate and works for around 90% of the channels if not more. Most importantly the channels are listed in good order and separated into sensible groups requiring almost no changes in perfect player.

Lots of HD channels with little to no buffering. Have noticed a small amount of infrequent downtime which occurs across all channels simultaneously but seems to only last half an hour or so tops.

All in all one of the better services I have used and at €7 euros a months for all UK channels including sport what’s not to love.

I've been with Helix for a few months.

My only complaint is that they have weird channel organization, USA HD, USA VIP, UK HD, UP VIP. These groups should just be 1 single group because its hard to know what is in each one.

Other than that, they've been good so far. I really like that when there are Champions League games, a new sports section pops up with streams of the games, instead of having to find out which channel I can find each game on.

I tried to setup an account to test it out, but neither payment provider worked. :(

I’ve had Helix for about 6 months now. They have become my primary provider with little to no buffering and great quality. About the down time, I follow them on twitter and they are really good about communicating with their customers and will let you know when their maintenance will happen and for how long. I’m loving their service and haven’t looked back since.

Helix is good , they are my backup sub , so i use iptv007 and helix both offer good support and stream is stable .

I’ve had helix since FAB went done and overall have been very happy with it. I’ve found support is very responsive and service oriented. I use it, Root and Area 51 on a Kodi app on Firestick and feel that I am covered well.

Does anyone know for sure if Helix and Sportz are just rebrands of the same backend? Any differences between the two? Thanks!

I've been with them for about a month. Such an improvement over my previous provider. The app is great, no need to set anything up and the channels are grouped in a pretty logical order. I don't have on-demand, so not sure how well that works. Occasional buffering, but really not too bad. Sometimes a stream cuts out, but not very frequently and they have multiple streams of popular channels if it does happen. To top it off, pricing is pretty good. I don't need to pay for a ton of channels I'll never watch (I just have US/UK/Canada). Support has been good/fast too when I've contacted them.

Do you have a link for the service? Also what kind of USA channels?

Stresshead2501

Very new to buying my iptv direct and I've got Helix. I mainly watch F1 and Motogp, but I find the buffering terrible on the HD channels. I have 500mb fibre, and can stream Netflix 4k no problem. Any tips? Tv is connected to the router via CAT 5.

Is Helix based out of the UK?

furbalicious999

They’re good, wish they had a discord or telegram contact.

Does helix have catch up?

Conzilium

Streams have been stable with no buffering. Help tickets answered quickly. But there are now a significant number of sports channels which they say are fhd and are just SD streams. But they are cheap. They need to source better sky sports streams right now because not of them are not HD.

VIP means all in one. AIO. All included you have networks and premium channels in one place.

What forms of payment does Helix take?

vulcanxnoob

Does anyone have a contact with helix to get a slight discount on additional connections? The additional connection are almost the same price as the subscription. Any reduction would help, an extra 6 euro a month is a lot since the service is only 9.50 a month. Any help is appreciated

I start d my 48-hour trial yesterday. So far, it has been brilliant. Minor hiccups, but who doesn't get that with any IPTV service?

Only thing I have noticed is that there's no VOD. Not a big deal at all. Otherwise, been great.

I just subscribed tonight.... waiting right now for the guide to be imported in :)

Had them for a bit and tbh for the price it's well worth it, I switched because the sports at times will buffer and I was looking for a provider than can offer me next to no buffering. I use Jarvis and Players Klub now, combined you're looking at about $20 or £15.

I tried helix for a while. It was good,, but I prefer gears tbh
