My brother in law sent me the info for this service. He had some good things to say, so I grabbed a trial a few weeks ago. Wanted to share my experience to date.
Setup - They had been on a homemade website (what looked to be Godaddy) and there was a ton of information on the web page. At first the offerings were a bit confusing but they explained things pretty well. They offer 2 services. One of the services had 3 variations (Gold, platinum, and Works). I believe the breakdown is Gold is UK, Canada and America. Platinum (which I have) is those plus international. The only difference with the third one from what I have is that it has adult. The other separate service is called dynamite. Looks cheaper from what I have but I have not tried it. When I first ordered it was through the old site. They have since moved into a typical IPTV site. Most of their information is now behind their firewall. Probably accessible with a trial. Anyway, they sent me and 2 links; one for m3u and one for EPG. Pretty standard. Just plug them into your program.
Channels - American Channels seem strong. I am from a smaller town now living overseas and they had a couple of my local channels so I can watch the news. No EPG for the local channels but I only watch for the news and I know what time it is on. Looks like 400 or so local channels. The other dynamite service apparently has 300 with an EPG. Most American channels have several feeds and are in many groups. Not sure if I like that there are so many groups but the channels looks great. I always test but looking at the scroll at the bottom of a news channel. Very smooth. NFL and NBA both look great.
Website - Like I mentioned, typical site we see nowadays - http://portal.stick-Services.com. Seems like a small operation though and looks like they are closing public subscriptions soon.
They have a Smarters app. They claim it can hold account info for both services without entering a portal. I tried it for my one service and it was fine. I prefer perfect player.
Service - They respond pretty quickly. One main guy was on Reddit but sent an email saying they were “lowering their profile.” Seems to be the case as most info is now only accessible if you log in.
So far so good. Wish they could consolidate channel groups on the Platinum group, but will take the trade-off with a decent EPG and excellent streams.
VOD - It is there but I have never used it.
They seem to be trying to make a go of it and I’ve enjoyed it so far.
EDIT - I’ve watched the last 3 fights on the MMA card without a buffer.
Website: 6/10 - I found their website to be easy to navigate. Their setup guides are all grouped together, and the channel list was easy enough to find. The only real complaint I have is the packages contents. The UK and the US/CA and Single Packages but the Double Package and the Triple Package was really silly. It’s 1 great Britain pound extra for adult channels. Really just lump them in to the Double and call it a day.
Channels: 8/10 - I’m more than happy with the channel line-up. My review is from a very US-centric perspective, so take that for what you will. I have all the US channels I could want. There is much channel duplication which is nice when one goes down you can find the same one in another category. Sadly it can create a mess of a channel list. I use the Helix App and the favorites channel is a life saver. A cool thing is they have all the channel icons.
Picture Quality: 7/10 – Main USA channels are impressive. High quality with I’m paying about $12/mon for a lot of channels mixed 720 1080 quality, I accept that as I’m not paying Time Warner $120/mo.
Reliability: 6/10 – This one is hard to judge. I do follow their twitter. https://twitter.com/HostHlx
I get their updates but they post all these issues.. if I was watching 24/7 I would be bothered but it’s worked for me when I needed.. I wonder if this page does them a disservice.. a new customer may think they are down most of the time. The truth is they are up and works great 99% of the time. I know IPTV goes down ones in a while. They are much better than a few services I came from.
Note: They were 100% perfect for the McGregor/Kabib fight.
EPG: 7/10 – They have EPG for US / UK and CA. US movie channels seem to be hit or miss with EPG but it is something I see with the US Movies, I think their sources might pull these movie channels from CA and they in US EPG.
Set-Up: 10/10. I’ve tried a handful of sources and setting up with Helix is easy. Once I paid I get an email. I use Fire DL to load the app to the Firestick and I am good to go.
Support: 8/10 Twitter and tickets is all you get with Helix. Twitter only used for announcements. They do not respond on twitter.. No forums, discord, telegram or chat. Tickets is all you from them. Response time is 2-3 hours on average. Responses is relatively helpful. When I asked about why no chat.. they mention they need a person to handle and manage. I been in chats for other providers and chats can get nasty especially when there is service issues. So far they been fair and nice to deal with.
Overall, I’d give Helix a solid 8/10. For what I’m getting, I’m perfectly fine with what I’m spending. Perhaps there is a better provider out there, but I’m not going to bother trying to find it, because, why? Their service could only possibly be marginally better but Helix seems to fit the bill for now. Hopefully they stay that way.
Root Hosting Service: The service of Root Hosting is going to be reviewed today. It is an IPTV service that is providing different channels around the world with different languages. On can avail the opportunity on different devices. Without any doubt, channels choice is huge. For customer satisfaction the service is also providing 6 hr trial so one can be pleased with IPTV. Before becoming their client, I actually took the trial period that exquisite my expectation and made me wow to purchase the 3 months
Root Hosting subscription package. Selection of Channels: There are more than 1200 channels. The quality of channels is without any doubt is versatile in HD. It is like a Pandora box of channels with different languages. Entertainment and sport channels are compatible to watch. The range of channels are not restricted to US, UK, CA but more from Asian countries, China, Russia, Japan and many more. Therefore this range of channels has amused me and for this I would remark root hosting 9/10 for channels options. There are also subcategories for the sport channels that are updated regularly for better convenience of their clients.
Quality of image: In 6 hr of trial period I recognized the quality of picture is amazing for which I would like to rate them 9/10. The picture quality is also one of the reason that compelled me to buy 3 months subscription package. The channels that belongs to US and UK are somehow clearer more in HD but if we evaluate quality purpose of all channels they are also fab. The stream supports android services, MAG, Enigma2, Apple devices iOS and more from the same provider. However I have also downloaded the root’s own app for my android app and it works great. So I think if you are reading my review than you should go for a free trial as it will definitely please you.
Buffering speed: Well the speed of Root Hosting service is good and for this I will give them again 9/10 because as I haven’t faced any issue yet regarding buffering. Sometimes the channel take seconds to load and I think this cannot be related to issue. This kind of problem most of the time happens with channels of FHD, rarely on specific occasions. However, I have seen many shows regarding sports such as NBA and EPL without getting struck in streaming. Therefore, the loading of the channels are not too slow and are pretty much reliable in speed as one cannot force it as an issue.
Conclusion: I have paid my premium prices for the subscription of 3 months packages and as far as I am a happy client. Overall I would rate them 9/10 for their services. I obliged their service when I took the free trial for the first time that further forced me to take the premium package according to my affordability without any hesitation. Their services are very fabulous and speedy so I would recommend everyone here to give it a try. At the end, thank you for taking out the time to read my review. This will definitely help you if you are looking for honest writing regarding the service.
Well, I've been using Proton IPTV for a few months now. I was tired of EpicStreams always having problems and was complaining to a co-worker about it. He told me he had a friend who knew someone who sold Ghostware boxes and put in in touch with him. I guess I knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy. I'm cool.
Anyway, long story short, a few degrees of separation later the Ghostware box guy returned my text and told me there is one and only one IPTV service he has used for the past 5 years and will ever use. He said it was the most stable he had ever come across and he knew of a lot of them. But, he couldn't put me in touch with the guy who operates it, he would only put me in touch with a reseller. They keep a very low profile and don't even have a website. Everything is done by word of mouth and this has kept them out of the spotlight and safe from the plagues that some of the well known providers face (I assumed he was talking about legal battles but looking back I think he meant lag and stability issues).
I was intrigued. I contacted the reseller... Proton Television (proton.television@gmail.com). I had a response within 10 minutes. He set me up with a free trial. Instantly I was blown away and 3 hours into the trial I signed up for a month. The Ghostware guy told me to do myself a favor and just sign up for a year but I'm cautious about that and I wasn't going to blindly follow some guy who sells Android boxes just because he said so.
Anyway...I signed up 2 connections for a year as soon as that month expired and I haven't looked back.
So the review...
Stability: 10/10. Never have had an issue at all. There are hiccups like any streaming service, but the guy who runs the servers makes it his life's mission to only offer stable channels. If it's not 100% stable, he will not put it up. Aside from a small issue during the transition from prelims to the main card last night for the McGregor fight which was rectified within 10 minutes, the most extreme peak traffic I can imagine went off without a hitch, no buffering, no lagging, no problems, it was like I'd ordered the event in 1080p through a cable company.
Channel Selection: 8.5/10. Most of the important stuff is here. If it's not, there's a reason for it and they're working on finding a way to find a stable source for it. I've seen a ton of channels added in the few months I've been with them. I've seen some channels removed because they were unreliable and then readded and they worked perfectly. I don't need to talk about sports packages and all that, they're all there like most providers, but on Sundays you would expect some issues with it being football day. No buffering, no lagging, everything is there, picture clarity is great, it's just beautiful. Tons of Canadian, USA, UK channels, a few international channels, tons of VOD content .. All the latest movies, including some still in theatres.
EPG: 10/10. Hands down, the most complete, accurate, cleanest EPG there is. All other IPTV providers should strive to have something even close to this. Nothing touches it. Not exaggerating. It's near flawless.
Speed: 10/10. Select channel, channel begins playing faster than my old cable provider. Nearly instant.
Picture Quality: 8.5/10. Most everything is HD but there are a few Canadian channels that are SD (eg Sportsnet Ontario) but Sportsnet East shows the exact same thing and is fully HD. I use a 65" 4k Samsung TV that can be very unforgiving if it isn't a high quality picture. For example, my last IPTV provider had terrible streams and the picture looked horribly pixelated even though they were boasting about HD streams. Not so with Proton. Crystal clear, unless it's SD and then it's clearly marked SD and usually has an HD counterpart. For example, most sports games have both an HD and SD stream, I suppose in case you have a slower internet speed or if the HD stream is unstable, which it never is. No complaints here at all.
Pricing is very reasonable. Not sure if they would approve of me posting it publicly or not so I won't, but it is not unreasonable at all and right on par with most other services I've seen. Considering the insane stability, they could ask for more but don't.
Customer Service: 15/10. Fast responses, friendly, patient, communicative... Honestly feel a loyalty to them because if this alone.
Overall: 9.9/10. Will not ever use another provider but then unless they ever shut down. They have ruined all other providers for me.
I really can't say enough about them. I have no idea how so few people know about them, other than that they've purposely stayed on the down low.
I hope I don't sound like a salesman here. I suggested to him that he try to tap into Reddit to gain some more subscribers. He agreed and did, and word seems to be spreading about them... But I know they don't want to get too big or too popular and have to deal with those "big fish" issues like Vaders and others deal with.
Anyway, for that reason I wanted to shine a spotlight on them because I feel they deserve it. Check them out. As far as I know the only way to contact them is through email or on Reddit now (/u/ProtonTelevision).
Hope this review was detailed and informative enough. I don't recommend anything I don't completely stand behind and I recommend these guys with 100% confidence.
So...here is my story. It's been about 2 months now since I have decided to try out the IPTV stuff.
I did some searching and found a vaders reseller.
I initially started off with Kodi and the simple PVR client. It worked really well. Vaders also has a great web app which works pretty well too.
Support(9)
The support that I joined (telegram chat) is unbelievable. These guys take abuse that they shouldn't have to take. It's pretty amazing to think about the quality and quickness of support in comparison to Roger/Bell etc. They answered questions patiently, and were helpful. Wish they would have been more proactive with the mag change.
After a week of using this IPTV service, I decided to buy two formuler z7+ devices. Since they arrived, we haven't looked back.
Vaders Up and Downs(Stability)(6)
Vaders is not the most stable service. I think that they go down about 3 or 4 times a week for an hour or so. They've never been down for an entire day, but in the last 2 months, they have been down very often. My reseller actually gave me two weeks of free service due to the instability. Now, when I say that they're down, they might actually be up! Vaders offers so many ways to watch, that if one route isn't working, you need to check another. The mag portal is in beta. It suddenly changed with no warning from the /c route to the mag.vaders.com portal. Since it has switched to beta, the instability with the mac route has been to the point of unacceptable. I did watch some MMA PPV's without any issue, or need to switch channels.
Lucikly, I'm somebody who likes to experiment, so I already had perfect player going. It is more stable than Mag at this point for sure!My gut feeling in regards to stability is that they are constantly changing so much in order to improve stability, that they are reducing stability. Further to that, I feel like they pick "non-busy" times to reboot servers or upgrade because they're facing a fight on EPL 3pm kickff, and NFL Sundays.I've heard from others that Vaders goes through phases with stability. I think we're in a negative stage, and hopefully we get something better soon.Features(10)
Vaders offers every way imaginable to connect. M3u, MAG, Kodi, web player..... Catchup for sports! I was able to watch a Buffalo Bills game the next day after missing it. This is great! TV Catchup is wide reaching, and works nicely most of the time. The VOD is "rebooting" and some catalog items are missing. It's still quite large. Matchcenter is great for sports, but the matchcenter epg within perfect player is not good.Value(9)
With Vaders, you get the ability to watch 5 streams at the same time. Not many services come close to that. I feel that it's something that needs to be looked at because I think that it's stressing the stability of the system due to account sharing. I'd be ok if they moved it to 1 IP or 2IP's from the 3 or even down to 3 connections. The pricing of $15 (US) per month can't really support this I don't feel
Conclusion
Vaders is the biggest player in the IPTV world. It's a great service that I would recommend to people who are ok at changing settings, and playing around. I would never recommend to somebody that they cut their cable service and then switch to Vaders. The reliability would let them down, and the sudden mag portal switch would cause many non tech-savy folks to give up. I would never recommend to anybody to have just 1 service, but if you do, don't make that service Vaders. I think the number 1 rule of IPTV is have a backup!I don't want to be super negative because Vaders is needed in the IPTV world. They constantly push the envelope on development, and provide a wide-ranging service with many different options to connect. For me, I believe I'll keep Vaders around for a while yet. I currently have 3 subs, and Vaders is my "Features" service. The other 2 are no-frills that I keep for stability.
EDIT on Oct 20...
So since my post, not much has changed as far as stability.
I have heard that they are not accepting new subs, which might go a little ways to improving what I perceive to be over load issues during heavy periods.
Once nice thing is the ability to add more than 1 mac to an account. For people like me with a formuler device, this is amazing.
Only bad part..... the epg STILL doesn't work on mag. Seems like they're working hard on it, and the service goes down pretty regularly as a result.
