Stick

My brother in law sent me the info for this service. He had some good things to say, so I grabbed a trial a few weeks ago. Wanted to share my experience to date.

Setup - They had been on a homemade website (what looked to be Godaddy) and there was a ton of information on the web page. At first the offerings were a bit confusing but they explained things pretty well. They offer 2 services. One of the services had 3 variations (Gold, platinum, and Works). I believe the breakdown is Gold is UK, Canada and America. Platinum (which I have) is those plus international. The only difference with the third one from what I have is that it has adult. The other separate service is called dynamite. Looks cheaper from what I have but I have not tried it. When I first ordered it was through the old site. They have since moved into a typical IPTV site. Most of their information is now behind their firewall. Probably accessible with a trial. Anyway, they sent me and 2 links; one for m3u and one for EPG. Pretty standard. Just plug them into your program.

Channels - American Channels seem strong. I am from a smaller town now living overseas and they had a couple of my local channels so I can watch the news. No EPG for the local channels but I only watch for the news and I know what time it is on. Looks like 400 or so local channels. The other dynamite service apparently has 300 with an EPG. Most American channels have several feeds and are in many groups. Not sure if I like that there are so many groups but the channels looks great. I always test but looking at the scroll at the bottom of a news channel. Very smooth. NFL and NBA both look great.

Website - Like I mentioned, typical site we see nowadays - http://portal.stick-Services.com . Seems like a small operation though and looks like they are closing public subscriptions soon.

They have a Smarters app. They claim it can hold account info for both services without entering a portal. I tried it for my one service and it was fine. I prefer perfect player.

Service - They respond pretty quickly. One main guy was on Reddit but sent an email saying they were “lowering their profile.” Seems to be the case as most info is now only accessible if you log in.

So far so good. Wish they could consolidate channel groups on the Platinum group, but will take the trade-off with a decent EPG and excellent streams.

VOD - It is there but I have never used it.

They seem to be trying to make a go of it and I’ve enjoyed it so far.

EDIT - I’ve watched the last 3 fights on the MMA card without a buffer.

I love Stick.

I've been running Stick of Dynamite as my main for around a month and a half now, using kodi as front end with NextPVR as backend for 3 room shared dvr service and its been really great. Watch football every Sunday, all the ufc and Bellator fights... Have never had an issue buffering so far and have gotten great support and responses from them when contacted.

I really like that they have their own category editor where you don't have to edit the m3u manually. It's just nice for ease of use.

I have not yet tried stick main services but I do plan to test them out as a backup or vice versa, as it'd be nice and consolidated to have both services on the same invoice.

Looks like a Helix reseller (which is no bad thing).

If you have helix already what would be the incentive to switch over?

Bought the stick platinum today as well but unfortunately couldn't enjoy today's top football game because of constant buffering. The issue was server-sided, I already checked my internet connection. But after reporting this issue, I actually got my money refunded and they apologized, which I didn't expect. A lot of other channels worked really well but the important ones for me (Sky Germany) were buffering a lot. So I guess for some people stick would be a good fit. I'll keep my eyes on the service, though for now I'm gonna have to look for another provider

I tried but hated the starters app, I used it for 30 min but It just wasn't for me. Service is probably fine but the app had to go.

Outting myself as a noob but which link is for the EPG? I see one for m3u and one for m3u_ plus. I don’t really understand what the difference is. I ended up plugging the m3u_plus file into iptv-epg to get guide data for Live Channels on my shield.

Can someone provide the EPG link?

After reading this review I subscribed to Sticks Platinum and Dynamite and haven’t looked back! My previous lineup was Vaders and Area 51, but now I use Sticks Platinum as my main, and Dynamite and Area 51 as my backups! All 3 together are the same price as just the 2, Vaders and Area 51. Bye bye Vaders!

Do they have an Android app?

hockeymachine86

Can someone explain a few things... The differences in gold, platinum and the works? Also do you have to do stick of dynamite to get m3u? If so do you still have to select a gold, platinum or the works option?
Are additional connections for additional IPs?

sunsetevening

Could some one explain how to use the catch up for stick of dynamite? Tried the menu no programming found.

Does anyone know what the m3u url is for Stick? and also do they have a web player and the URL for that as well.

Thank you

Stick is the best. They have 24/7 channels too with shit like South Park, Archer, GoT, and hundreds more

Tv still working (I’m subscribed thru next April) but the website has been down since June. Are these guys offline now?
