So...here is my story. It's been about 2 months now since I have decided to try out the IPTV stuff.
I did some searching and found a vaders reseller.
I initially started off with Kodi and the simple PVR client. It worked really well. Vaders also has a great web app which works pretty well too.
Support(9)
The support that I joined (telegram chat) is unbelievable. These guys take abuse that they shouldn't have to take. It's pretty amazing to think about the quality and quickness of support in comparison to Roger/Bell etc. They answered questions patiently, and were helpful. Wish they would have been more proactive with the mag change.
After a week of using this IPTV service, I decided to buy two formuler z7+ devices. Since they arrived, we haven't looked back.
Vaders Up and Downs(Stability)(6)
Vaders is not the most stable service. I think that they go down about 3 or 4 times a week for an hour or so. They've never been down for an entire day, but in the last 2 months, they have been down very often. My reseller actually gave me two weeks of free service due to the instability. Now, when I say that they're down, they might actually be up! Vaders offers so many ways to watch, that if one route isn't working, you need to check another. The mag portal is in beta. It suddenly changed with no warning from the /c route to the mag.vaders.com portal. Since it has switched to beta, the instability with the mac route has been to the point of unacceptable. I did watch some MMA PPV's without any issue, or need to switch channels.
Lucikly, I'm somebody who likes to experiment, so I already had perfect player going. It is more stable than Mag at this point for sure!My gut feeling in regards to stability is that they are constantly changing so much in order to improve stability, that they are reducing stability. Further to that, I feel like they pick "non-busy" times to reboot servers or upgrade because they're facing a fight on EPL 3pm kickff, and NFL Sundays.I've heard from others that Vaders goes through phases with stability. I think we're in a negative stage, and hopefully we get something better soon. Features(10)
Vaders offers every way imaginable to connect. M3u, MAG, Kodi, web player..... Catchup for sports! I was able to watch a Buffalo Bills game the next day after missing it. This is great! TV Catchup is wide reaching, and works nicely most of the time. The VOD is "rebooting" and some catalog items are missing. It's still quite large. Matchcenter is great for sports, but the matchcenter epg within perfect player is not good. Value(9)
With Vaders, you get the ability to watch 5 streams at the same time. Not many services come close to that. I feel that it's something that needs to be looked at because I think that it's stressing the stability of the system due to account sharing. I'd be ok if they moved it to 1 IP or 2IP's from the 3 or even down to 3 connections. The pricing of $15 (US) per month can't really support this I don't feel
Conclusion
Vaders is the biggest player in the IPTV world. It's a great service that I would recommend to people who are ok at changing settings, and playing around. I would never recommend to somebody that they cut their cable service and then switch to Vaders. The reliability would let them down, and the sudden mag portal switch would cause many non tech-savy folks to give up. I would never recommend to anybody to have just 1 service, but if you do, don't make that service Vaders. I think the number 1 rule of IPTV is have a backup!I don't want to be super negative because Vaders is needed in the IPTV world. They constantly push the envelope on development, and provide a wide-ranging service with many different options to connect. For me, I believe I'll keep Vaders around for a while yet. I currently have 3 subs, and Vaders is my "Features" service. The other 2 are no-frills that I keep for stability.
EDIT on Oct 20...
So since my post, not much has changed as far as stability.
I have heard that they are not accepting new subs, which might go a little ways to improving what I perceive to be over load issues during heavy periods.
Once nice thing is the ability to add more than 1 mac to an account. For people like me with a formuler device, this is amazing.
Only bad part..... the epg STILL doesn't work on mag. Seems like they're working hard on it, and the service goes down pretty regularly as a result.
LMFAO. Not even top 10.
