Area 51 IPTV, cheap cheap IPTV

I'm probably not going to give the most in depth IPTV review ever, but I haven't seen anything on this subreddit pertaining to this service. I saw someone post about it on Facebook of all places, saying they had 500+ channels for $5 a month. Now, that is met with immediate skepticism from me, considering I had a trial of SETVNOW, which had about the same number of channels for $20 a month. I went to the website, saw indeed it was $5 a month, and I liked their channel lineup. I'm a huge sports/motorsports fan, so seeing their lineup have all the major sporting outlets, including PPV, MLB Extra Innings, NHL Center Ice, and NFL games (haven't tested yet because, no NFL obviously) I was definitely intrigued. They needed literally no personal information from me except for an email address. They accepted Paypal as a payment method which was equally as nice. I subbed up for a month and downloaded their apk from the play store. I received my login info via email almost immediately after signing up, and signed right into the app. Clicking on a couple random channels, they were in HD, quality was pretty average. Maybe a little bit better than what you would expect for $5. A channel I really wanted was MAVTV, as I said I'm a motorsports fan. This channel was not in HD, but for the price didn't bug me all that bad considering I had no other way to get it. So far so good.

On Area 51's site they allow you to download an M3U playlist of your channels so you can use an IPTV player or just VLC on a computer. I can't tell you how much that comes in handy. Their customer support is pretty top notch as well. I've had to submit a few tickets when it comes to questions concerning the channel lineup and the one time MAVTV went down. (It was back up within a day, and in HD so WOOHOO!) They respond quickly and have helpful answers.

Now as far as cons go, the $5 a month is for one connection at a time. Each additional connection is another $5, which still beats some competitors prices (SETVNOW gives 3 for $20). Some channels are not in HD. The few I found were MAVTV, Nicktoons, and a couple other off channels. I haven't really gone to any of the foreign channels as I'm primarily concerned with the US based networks, however, curiosity had me clicking and every channel I clicked on worked from Canada, India, and some Spanish channels.

Overall I'd say the experience for me has been quite excellent. If you're looking for something cheap, and pretty good in the quality department, I'd check em out. I'm not sure if I can post links here so if I can I'll edit my review but until then, just google area 51 hosting, and check em out for yourselves. I'm not sure if they offer a trial, but I assume they might considering in the account settings it says my account is not a trial lol.

Any other questions I'd be happy to reply if I have the experience and knowledge. Happy viewing!

Feel free to join up and try out this amazing service here.

GoldTv.ca Review

After purchasing a subscription. They took nearly 48Hrs to respond with login info.

I then, Responded with my streaming box MAC address. It was nearly another 24hrs before it was added.

Now that I have access. I've realized that their VOD section is empty. Sent them another e-mail.

Their response was: VOD is down. It will be back soon. This was 7 days ago. Still no VOD.

HBO switches to the gameshow network quite often. Some channels will mute audio for an indefinite amount of time. Some channels are quite glitchy to the point of being unwatchable.

I have internet 150 from Shaw cable. The fastest internet available.

Reloaded TV - 1 month review (US based)

4/22 UPDATE - Reloaded has been posting that they are going ahead and removing the TV catchup feature, which drastically alters my overall stated recommendation on this review. Without TV Catchup it's now clearly less of a value then just going with GearsTV (same exact channels) + the amazing Mayfair APK, and an obviously deal breaker if you want/needed that catchup feature.

BACKROUND

This review is based solely on the use of US and sports channels only over a one month period. That's all I watch or personally care about, and didn't bother either using or testing any of the UK/CA content that is offered. So as always, anything below is a direct reflection on that specific experience.

Reloaded was run solely on Kodi 17.6, on a fresh install with no backround addons other then Ares Wizard used to auto set my advanced settings. Internet speeds generally tested out at 75mbps+ with IPVanish running in the backround, and on a wired connection through my 2017 Nvidia Shield or Gen 2 Firetv. While I don't consider myself Mr. Tech or anything, I am confident in my researching/tinkering ability enough that any trouble shooting done was both accurate and with every possibility exhausted to best isolate any non-Reloaded issue.

My viewing times/habits are as follows: Wed - Sat I'd watch maybe an hour or 2 of ESPNs/FOXSPORTSs/MLB/WWE/NESN/NBA/NFL channels in the afternoon before work, then another 3 hours afterwards (usually 11pm est on) with some movie surfing mixed in. Sun - Tues I have completely off, so Reloaded would be used or running in the backround most of those days. Red Sox/Celtics games and UFC/WWE PPV's are also my specifically targeted sports interests. All in all I'd estimate that this review is based on roughly 100 hours of use as my primary IPTV source (with some Vader Streams and a random cheaper service test sprinkled in here and there when I wasn't using Reloaded).

SETUP/CUSTOMER SERVICE

Setup is standard as far as a Kodi install goes, from their own add source repo and with an auto configuration for your video playback settings. Which on that note, and outside a recently added option to use Reloaded on your iphone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY8Llwlwd4M&t=176s), is the only platform it's available on. Some would view this aspect as an overall con, but I don't in this particular instance. Not given the manner in which they implanted the EPG (more on that below), and the simple fact that while stuff like Perfect Player are nice in general "I want options' theory...a clean Kodi install is still the most stable player out there for the android boxes this service is aimed at. So in all reality, and coming out of a provider that caters more then most to the less then tech savy crowd, I'm actually going to score them keep it simple points here on steering people away from the unknowingly self inflicted wounds that tend to come with using subpar player options.

I'd rate customer service as average for a more established provider, with both a facebook group page and their own Discord chat. While having that Discord chat would suggest better then that on paper, i wasn't terribly impressed with it in comparison to what I see going on in some of the other ones I frequent. I mean you will find your basic install help in there, but it's not terrible active and lots of times I see people jump in without any live reps around to answer their questions. In those instance you might get a response back a couple hours latter, or more often not at all.

EPG

Unlike every other m3u provider Reloaded doesn't utilize Kodi's base simple client EPG. Instead it has Mayfair's Pro EPG built in, which is it's own click in program addon and as far as I'm concerned the reigning best IPTV EPG out there right now. Loads fast, scrolls smooth, looks pretty, and can be fully customized. Want the option to easily filter out channels you don't watch? Check. Want the option to completely reorder your channel listings and put your most watched favorites on top? Check. Best of all I only had to do those last 2 things one time total, and it's stayed that way regardless of the load updates ever since. Which actually scored huge points with my girlfriend, and after I had previously gave up on such channel customization with other providers when those changes were just routinely getting reset the next day.

Sporting events are found in it's separate video addon that gets installed with it, and which also houses the straight channel icons if you don't care about having an EPG. There is also a direct link to the mayfair EPG on top if you want to use it from here. I again find it to be both nice looking and different in a good way in both cases. Lot of regular channels are listed with 2 different feeds broken into 720 and 1080 listings (although a lot of times I wouldn't find an actual difference between the two), with a standard what's on next listing underneath and the time left until it starts. The Sports listing layout is my favorite I've seen out of any provider to date, which again breaks them down into 2 separate 720 and 1080 listings. Current clock times and the score are also included, that in itself is obviously a sweet UI perk that stands out.

Unfortunately the video addon section also comes with a very noteworthy bug, in that it has a regular tendency to want to open itself back up when you try to close it. Forcing you to spam the back button a bunch of times to get that back out to stick. It's an annoying bug, and it's been present for a while now (extending far before this review). To note, the Mayfair guide on the other hand never has this issue.

CHANNELS/QUALITY/RELIABILITY

Reloaded's channel offering is pretty much exclusive to US content, and in this respect I'd rate it as top notch and at worst equal to anything else I've come across (granted outside the really random stuff everybody offers the more commonly watched stuff nowadays). While they do offer some CA/UK channel listings they also go out of their way to note that neither is supported on their end (with a stated warning that they'll ban you for pestering them in regards to any CA or UK channel related issues).

Picture quality certainly isn't at the top of the IPTV food chain, but is generally no worse as a whole then a lot of the other HD providers out there, and which of course can always vary by what specific channel you are making the provider vs provider comparison on. That said you won't find the selective peak picture quality potential with some channels that you might find with a provider elsewhere. For example, Reloaded doesn't offers any 60fps channels that you'll find on something like Vader Streams (which I'm actually guessing is by design, since cell phone compatibility seems to be a growing angle in Gears/Reloaded's sales pitch). Most feeds are still in HD though, although like pretty much every other provider you will at times run into your SD quality on a less then super popular channel.

What Reloaded does lack in peak picture quality it does make up for in stability imo. Server crashes/downtime are almost non-existent from what I've gathered while keeping tabs over the last half a year, and I never saw one during my one month sub. Overall channel stability as a whole and over an extended period of time (i've subbed in the past with both Gears/Reloaded, who share the same channels) is also probably the best I've ever experienced outside of what Vader used to be 4+ months ago (before it got super popular). None of which is to obviously say that you still won't run into your random drop or buffering of course, or that their ESPN or USA is better then this provider's but yeah...day in/day out consistency counts for a lot in my book, and for my own channel needs I was mostly satisfied with that overall consistency. Reloaded's ability to be relatively stable and remain relatively stable definitely sticks out imo among a lot of other popular great one month and terrible the next providers out there.

I only tested 2 PPV's during my sub: UFC 223 and Wrestlemania this past weekend. Both performed flawlessly in HD under the 1080 listing, with the single exception of one drop during Wrestlemania that was quickly remedied with a simple click back in.

The above nods on stability noted..there are some cons. While I didn't have any real issues with their Celtic game coverage, MLB Extra Innings on the other hand has been roll of the dice bust so far this season. Definitely have gotten mostly super choppy Red Sox game feeds, with a lot of other people in their Discord chat chiming in to state a similar experience. If you care about baseball and are looking to buy Gears/Reloaded for their MLB pay channel coverage in particular...don't.

Secondly and to a much less damning extent, I have at times run into the random situations where a feed's video playback will start getting choppy. Which is fixed immediately by logging in and out of the channel. Not quite sure why this happens but others have confirmed it as well. Going into your settings, then Addons-My Addons-Videoplayer InputStream and turning both those options on made a big difference in making those instances rare though. Haven't seen it in a few days now fwtw.

As far as fixing channels that go down goes, there also seems to be a differing priority depending on on the channel. For instance while I do have the utmost confidence that they aren't going to let their ESPN linger in a bad state (I've seen the owner himself state it as a "good" channel" in his youtube videos), something fairly obscure like NESN can be a completely different story. Which went down the first week I subbed, and still isn't back up to this day. Most outside of Boston fans would probably care less, but for me that sucks and is worthy of general note.

FEATURES/VALUE

CATCHUP - As far as additional features go Reloaded's offering starts and ends here. But in the event catchup is a huge priority on your feature list...THIS is the best and most reliable catchup you are going to find of any provider out there, and nobody else is even remotely close atm.

Unlike everybody else who essentially get more caught up in the paper advertisement value/aspect of their catchup, and ultimately always end up shoving it to the bottom of their priority list when it inevitably breaks due to the pita maintenance that goes into keeping such overextended attempts up/working, Reloaded took a completely different approach to their catchup implantation. They not only made it a priority, but they centered that effort around something that is actually going to work from a the more realistic and user friendly level. Which amounts to a trimmed down and much more easily maintained on a daily basis 24 hour log, that most importantly of all works EVERY SINGLE TIME. Straight up, in all the times I've checked in on Reloaded and through out my entire sub I've never found it not working. Not once. If you want catchup that you can bank is going to work today, tomorrow, or 3 weeks from now...THIS is the only provider option I know of out there that can make the supporting track record claim of offering it atm/imo. Period.

The above said, it's also worthy of note that sporting events that don't air on standard channels aren't included in their catchup. How much having their 5 star catchup is worth to you is also going to factor heavily into their value appeal as well, since at $18.50/mo Reloaded is a fairly expensive one stream per account service. That isn't offering any additional extras or discounted bundle plans worthy of note either.

Some might note the lack of VOD as a con here, but honestly for a provider that is already forcing the most basic of Kodi familiarity on you there is really no reason anybody shouldn't be going that route for those needs imo. Skip what essentially amounts to the middle man, go straight to the source by installing an addon like Incursion/Neptune Rising (or Gaia if you want torrents and/or that highest quality 4k stuff), and never look back. Buying a cheap $4/mo Real Debrid account on top of that removes all limitations and absolutely smokes any possible VOD section somebody can offer anyway.

CONCLUSSION

Quick story. Last week I go over to my friend's house to show him Reloaded's catchup firsthand, who also happens to be a serial IPTV buyer who is constantly chasing down anything advertising a high bitrate. So afterwards we start watching a basketball game while Reloaded was still on the TV, which plays flawlessly for an hour at a pretty solid 720p. After that a commercial comes on, and he wants to switch and show me his current provider of choice. Which indeed was showing the show at a higher bitrate then Reloaded was, but was also buffering for a couple seconds like clockwork every 1 or 2 minutes. Nothing terrible, but enough that it was still annoying me. After about 30minutes of this I ask him to switch it back so we can watch the ending buffer free, and he doesn't want to because the buffering doesn't bother him if it means being able to watch something with a slightly less pixelated picture. Moral to that story - different strokes for different folks I guess.

Anyway, I'm going to start by giving Reloaded and the Gears team some props here for being different, and taking more of a specialization approach then most providers do. Even if it means they won't potentially appeal to a broader customer base, which a lot of providers seem to care more about then actually keeping their service as a whole easier maintained and more stable in the long term. Their dev team is also top of the food chain imo, at least in terms of putting out stuff that simply works and appeals more to actual everyday use on the user end. Especially for the less tech savy crowd. If something is crap (like say the EPG everybody else is throwing in their APK nowadays for the sake of claiming it has one) they either put something better out with a lot of extra polish on it, or just don't put it out period. I respect that.

So on that note and taking into account Reloaded's fairly high price tag, I'm ultimately split on what my recommendation here actually is. There is a lot appeal here for those that insist on only buying/using one provider, especially if you want/need the catchup aspect. In those instances, or if you are say looking for a set and forget option for your parents, it's a BUY. Again and as noted earlier, at least on the condition that you don't give a crap about baseball.

If total pricetag cost is a consideration, and/or you don't have an issue running 2 or 3 different providers, it's more of a YMMV. Personally I don't mind running running a bunch of different providers or switching around to each's own channel when one goes bad, and with some pretty decent $5/mo stuff popping up lately you are looking at the potential alternative of spending that $18.50 on 2 services instead of one. Plus in my specific case, the crappy MLB coverage basically cancels out the otherwise strong desire to keep the catchup. I just watch too much baseball to not stay better covered. But...my girlfriend can't seem to live without catchup, so for her and my own desire not to hear about it not working while using something else I'll probably end up going ahead with the resub. Unless somebody wants to make and regularly update a kodi addon for soaps, in which case you'll earn my undying gratitude.

AsianIPTV4U Review

Got their free two days review on the weekend. Now they have a website that the trial costs 2 cents. Anyways, I tried them for Taiwanese channels and China channels, they were smooth and clear. Most of their channels work, cost is reasonable but just hope they have some Canadian news and sports as well. I guess nothing is perfect!

Review on Ultrabox (after replacing Ace)

As a refugee of Ace, like many, I was forced to do research again across multiple subreddits in a short amount of time. This time I would like to share my experience on Ultrabox (Epicstream)

The timing of my research coincided with the big PPV event today that allowed me to evaluate the response times of resellers and streaming experience. Overall there was plenty of information available between the two options, channel lists, and reviews included. I hope mine will help you address the same questions I’ve had and save you some time.

Both Ultrabox and Ace were comparable in price point, with the initial difference you’ll notice is the channel list and both are comparable for what I was after across UK/US channels. Ace had a slight edge here with 24/7 and larger range of VOD. My next criteria was to look at the range of SD/HD/FHD channels. Don’t get caught out here - if you are on lower bandwidth or have the need to conserve data or are mostly accessing channels on the go, having SD and HD options isn’t a bad idea. With more HD channels, Ultrabox seems to be ahead if are not constrained by bandwidth or data caps.

In terms of availability of information from resellers, those who are newer and less familiar with configuration of the service, I found Epic resellers had a more human touch in elaborating the configuration process better and making it seem less daunting to new users. As this was not my first time, I navigated this without any problems. Your needs will likely vary in terms of the device and method you would be using to watch. Overall, if you are already familiar with the setup, do not dismiss the lack of information to support newer users, as transparency is often a criteria that is considered when evaluating providers. There was a higher level of activity on Ultrabox, with a dedicated forum of community users. If you ever get stuck or encounter issues, this would a good place to start with a fair amount of user activity at time of this post.

As for the experience, I applied the same thought process against the providers and the reviews mentioned in search engines, reddit, along with my uncertainty level based on the amount of information available by resellers or the public posts. Again, don’t completely discard negative reviews on Epic resellers or forum posts like Ultrabox as you would normally see a healthy range of comments. I found Ultrabox to be the closest to Ace TV, with the same process in the ordering/provisioning, configuration, similar policies on multiple connections, configurable channel lists (with/without adult channels), and overall support. The knowledge base available was useful and reminiscent of Ace and I recalled how useful that was this was a great value coupled with a support forum.

Access was provided manually with Ultrabox, however it was not too much of a wait, so don't panic after your order is completed. The account management is detailed and flexible with the same interface that you might come across from Ace. I will try next to do a mid-term change with support and report on the experience back. Overall, there is a dashboard that helps you navigate the account management screen and every menu item on screen has a purpose and marked clearly.

Operational aspects - Video quality is amazing as others might report similarly. The selection of HD and FHD channels are higher although the number of overall channels are not to what you would have seen in Ace. The experience that bothered me somewhat is the grouping of channels, although logical, is not as what I was familiar with - for example, Movie Networks are combined across regions. While this behaviour can be address manually by editing the playlist, I am open to try this new grouping. The stand out here above everything else, is all channels (including sports) begin streaming immediately as I tried my very best to find a stream that was either down or would buffer - and was unsuccessful in the process (It is worth mentioning I’ve not tried non English channels and that I am on a fast 1000/500 fiber connection). No such luck in my attempts to find faults in the streams, and I’ll update this as the weeks go. So far it has been impressive.

Pros:

  • Reliable channels and streaming experience. There is nothing worse than finding out the channel you are interested is not able to stream or buffers - I could not fault them so far on this.

  • Great for newer users (not just Ace), with knowledgeable how-to start off

  • Prompt service in consideration of manual provisioning

  • Transparency of information and discussion, when compared to alternatives. The forum ultrabox.site will be useful in gauging the quality and responsiveness of the service

  • Dedicated discussion forum with a community of users who are willing to help out

  • KODI add-ons available to quickly get started along with specific instructions to set up on Enigma2, MyIPTV Player, PerfectPlayer, iOS / Android, or your Smart TV (m3u8 for SmartIPTV)

  • Similar browser access (unsecure and not officially documented) handy for remote situations or devices that are used temporarily to watch streams. Only use on VPN or trusted network. Needs Videolan plugin.

Areas of opportunity or improvement:

  • VOD selection is good and with room to grow

  • 24/7 channels not available (yet)

  • Trial period not available from Ultrabox

Given I was comfortable with what I observed and rely on my past experiences, I just went ahead without concern after stepping through the above thought process, confident with my choice. You may wish to evaluate your needs based on the above information first.

As per my reviews, If you found this useful in your search for your next provider especially after Ace, please use my link https://www.ultraboxhost.com/aff.php?aff=159 which I would sincerely appreciate, otherwise without regrets, the standard page is https://www.ultraboxhost.com/

Unloaded & Vaders

I know many people only have negative things to say when they post about iptv services.

For the last few days I have been using these 2 services together on my Xbox one Kodi. I have had smooth services & no drop outs.

I am using the Unloaded app & Xtreme Codes IPTV for Vaders.

I think combined I am probably paying around $30/month.

The Unloaded catch up feature is pretty sweet. As soon as a show is over you can stream it.

Stay away from vaders.ca

I have been in the market for a new IPTV service provider. I had read good things about VADERS IPTV and subsequently found vaders.ca that offered a $3 trial, so I could evaluate the service. The problem was vaders.ca was in the middle of what they call a panel outage (still ongoing since March 14), however, unless you are a member you can't login to see the network status. After I purchased the trial, I discovered the outage and politely requested an extension (see the request in italics below). The response I received is at the bottom in bold.

Question to Vaders.ca: I purchased a 36 hour trial on Friday, but was unaware your system was down at the time. I have heard good things about your service, but really need to trial it before I purchase it. I have been with Nitro IPTV for over a year, but there have been a lot of outages and glitching lately Is there a way you can extend my trial so I can properly evaluate it?

Response from Vaders.ca: sorry, I cannot extend it

Regards

Ray

Enjoy & share with friends shop.vaders.ca We are the best service provider in the market by now and we do appreciate your business, but we have to point out that this is still a cheap alternative of cable TV,If you can not compromise on the quality and reliablity,Please do not pay your next term. Thanks your support and understanding

The rise and (somewhat) fall of Vader Streams. 1 year review (US based)

BACKROUND

It's been a while since I've seen an in-depth review on Vader that wasn't centered around somebody trying to make a buck off people here (incoming some down votes right off the bat), so in an attempt to be as thorough as possible I'm guessing this will be a pretty long one. As noted in the title, this is based solely on the use of US and sports channels only over a one year period (with most of the evaluation emphasis placed on where the service stands today, obviously). That's all I watch or personally care about, and I never bothered testing or using anything outside that. So as always, anything below is a direct reflection on that specific experience.

While always open to testing every player method out there, Vader was mostly run on either the latest official Kodi or most current SPMC (always on a fresh install with no backround addons), then latter the APK, on wired 60 then latter upgraded to 100mbps internet (which usually tested out in the 40-90mbps range with IPVanish running in the backround), and through my 2017 Nvidia Shield or Gen 2 Firetv. While I don't consider myself Mr. Tech or anything, I am confident in my researching/tinkering ability enough that any trouble shooting done was both accurate and with every possibility exhausted to best isolate any non-Vader issue.

Sun - Tues I have completely off, so Vader would be used or running in the backround most of those days (unless I happened to be randomly testing another service). I watch all the UFC and WWE PPVs, plus Red Sox/Celtics games. All in all I'd estimate that this review is based on a couple thousand hours of of using Vader as my primary (and at times only) TV source/service.

SETUP/CUSTOMER SERVICE

If you are reading this post, then you already know buying or especially getting a free trial of Vader is easier then it's ever been. Setup is pretty basic IPTV stuff you find everywhere else nowadays, although their Kodi is a little better/easier then most due to the option to do simple client integration and sort in/out channels groups in-app while doing the initial install. Being somebody that tends to do a lot of re-installs, I find it to be a nice little extra effort touch.

Customer service isn't bad, and with a standard ticket system to report straight to the source issues. I'd say on average they take maybe half a day to respond and/or address issues when possible. That said, it's certainly falling behind what some of the other/newer providers are doing in the form of Discord chat setups. Which is obviously easier and more realistic to do when you are smaller, but still. The other current 2 providers I have use it, and channel issues can/are usually fixed in a matter of minutes there as opposed to that half a day.

EPG

When I first started using Vader they were actually one of the very select few providers that could even offer a mostly populated EPG. That has obviously changed over the last year, but outside the short term hiccups that happen every time the service goes down (more on that latter), I'll still give them thumbs up here. When the service is working I've always found it to be one of the better and more accurate ones out there. Vader also offers it's own program guide through kodi, which works for those who would prefer not to use the simple client setup.

If you plan on using the APK however that EPG, and outside it's ability to accurately populate, is flat out terrible imo. For all the extra polish effort they put into that APK, it's still built on top of the same scrolling nightmare (going down a channel can sometimes set you back 5 or so hours on the timeline, forcing you to then scroll back) almost every other smaller provider out there is defaulting into their APKs. Which serves more as an "it has an EPG!" advertisement point on their end then something that's even remotely ideal for you to actually use on a day-to-day basis. So yeah, considering there are options out there like GearsTV/Mayfair that went the more inventive route, and even an apk like ProgTV managed to fix the scrolling issues...it's a real shame that Vader couldn't/didn't even try to extend beyond a throwaway stance there. They also don't get the same pass on it I'd be willing to give on it with a $5/mo service that only sports a couple thousand subs total either.

CHANNELS/QUALITY/RELIABILITY

Pretty standard to what everybody else if offering as far as US channels go nowadays. Has a separate panel for sporting event listings for the day, which is an additional nice touch. Most feeds are HD quality, although at times you'll run into some random SD feeds mixed in. Picture quality is generally no better or no worse overall then a lot of the other providers out there, which of course can always vary by what specific channel you are making the comparison on. Vader does notably offer 60 FPS streams on some of their feeds though, which when they are working is certainly a nice added bonus.

As far as overall channel stability as a whole goes, if you asked me this 3+ months ago I'd of said nobody could touch them. Before the army of resellers and endless amount of free running trials moved in it really was that good, and as a result the reputation it earned during that time period still carries over into a lot of what you read about it today. Unfortunately and once you strip any outdated evaluation data or fanboy type loyalty away...that was then and this is now though.

Today, and even giving them a huge passing overlook on the week long melt down a little ways back...Vader is simply pretty average as far as channel stability goes for a major provider on a good day and has been so for a fairly extended period of time now. Or more specifically and after being massively oversold over the last few months (not that they or the people pushing their resellers credits are obviously going to own up to that), it's basically back to entering what amounts to be a roll of the dice sweepstakes field of contenders on which one is going to perform the best on any given month. With the current and short term odds of them coming up the best this or next month not trending in their favor atm.

Overall I've seen more glitchy channel feeds and random buffering over the last 2 months then I had the previous 10 total. Once being a major strong point for me as my most watched channel, ESPN stability for example has fallen off quite a bit. To a point I basically stopped using it recently in favor of my backup provider's more stable feed. In another example and as I've been typing this, I had to give up on the USA channel while watching WWE Raw a minute ago after backround server issues kept discounting the feed. Instances of video feedback not matching up with the audio on random channels pop up as well, which in my experience always take multi attempts to fix before they get squared away for more then a day or 2. None of which is to say Vader doesn't have it's good days mind you, because it does. It's just that stringing them together for notable periods of time has gotten a lot more rare then it used to be. On a more positive note I've probably had more overall luck with movie channels (less so lately, but not any worse then elsewhere) on Vader then I have with other services, and which is worthy of note since a lot of others providers tend to struggle with them even under the best of times.

Can't honestly comment on recent PPV's, as I've been using other stuff for those since the stability issues started (a lot of that has to do with me wanting to stress test different providers as well), but prior to that I will go on record to state that Vader rarely let me down in the previous 10 months. With the exception of maybe two total UFC/WWE PPV's it always served to be an adequate experience for me.

As far as server stability and keeping them up goes, it's been a full circle ride for me. I made a review 45 days after I first tried Vader, and listed it's tendency to go down a lot back then as my primary cons. Then it got better and stayed that way right up until we started seeing Vader have a huge influx of resellers pushing out as many subs/trials as they possible could, capping off with one of them even paying the biggest Kodi reviewer on Youtube to make a way over-the-top "this service never ever buffers!" guarantee. Since then it's back to being notably spotty, even as far as IPTV goes. In essence Vader is basically under a constant state of maintenance waiting to happen, and the expectation that it will frequently be going down or presenting you with channel issues needs to be accounted for in any purchase decision.

FEATURES/VALUE

APK - As critical as I was with Vader's decision to complete cop out on it's EPG, and as skeptical as I may have been with it's early usability, I'm giving them an overall plus on this. A lot of other work went into it, and it shows in the extra polish you won't find with a lot of other APK's out there. Being both visually appealing, especially as far as the VOD layout goes, and easy enough that my tech challenged mother surprised me by figured it out with only one simple run through. Overall channel stability has also come a long way, to a point I'd honestly can't tell a difference anymore when using it as a player compared to something like SPMC. Which in the world of comparative APKs is a major plus imo. If you don't mind the crappy EPG it's definitely the way to go while using the service atm/imo, regardless of it's beta tag. Two months back I thought it was the worst.

VOD - I don't personally use or have a need for it myself, but my friends/family all seem to love it. Flipping through it now there is a ton of tv show and movie content, including a decent library of 4k. My girlfriend also just noted that out of any service I've tried, which is pretty much everything, she's liked Vader's VOD the best.

Catchup - Constantly broken, and outside a temporary bandaid fix attempt that didn't work maybe 6 month back remains that way to this day. The official explanation at the time was that it was a tedious process that had to be manually done on each channel, which in turn likely explains why they essentially waved the white flag on it shortly after. Bottomline - Count yourself extremely lucky if that it manages to work one day out of the week, and on the specific day/channel you actually need it. For all intents and purposes though, and as far as you the consumer is concerned in every day use, Vader does not offer catchup/timeshift in a working state. Regardless what the guy trying to make a few bucks off and who probably isn't actually using the service himself tells you otherwise.

Multi Room Support - THIS is Vader's main selling point, what the current hype is built around, and the feather in it's cap appeal it holds over every other more commonly known provider. It's also the reason a lot of people do and will continue to cling to an optimistic outlook, regardless what's going on around them, since any alternative reality isn't offering a known quantity service at $15/mo that offers 3 simultaneous connections. Most push over $20/mo for just 2, if they even offer a discounted rate on the second at all. When the service is working, this alone makes Vader a great value that just simply isn't matched anywhere else.

CONCLUSSION

As harsh as some of the above may have come across, it's always important to keep into perspective that the grass is hardly ever a sea of green on the other side. They all have channel stability issues at one time or another too, even if the server crashes are not nearly as often. As well as what it is you are actually buying here, and the behind the scene financial risk vs reward decisions that are going into something that isn't legal. Vader wasn't the first or won't be the last to oversell their service, and which in reality is ultimately the end game goal of pretty much every provider out there. So in that respect...I actually can't bring myself to personally fault them for that. Especially when I did get 8 or so months of great TV out of them.

That said, for me and ironically enough Vader's current situation is a lot like where I had Smoothstreams pegged a year ago (which at the time and as the it service then earned me no shortage of down votes and angry PMs for pointing this out in vader's favor. I was even offered money twice to take down my review on it lol). A great surface value service on the outside that people didn't want to see was already showing it's internal age after making a lot of money, and one that was settling in to more of a coasting by state on that and it's past reputation then anything else. Which was content to keep things "good enough", but past the point where one can expect to see any real movement forward again. Or more specifically, if you are buying Vader right now and expecting the same amazing experience you've heard about elsewhere...you are about 4 months late to that party. Like Smoothstreams or Fab and their massive pushes before it, Vader isn't going to be something that completely fixes itself or gets notably better then where it currently stands overnight. Regardless how much any of us want it to as a $15 for 3 connects value. It's going to be a slow and drawn out climb, aided by the current overload issue solving itself when enough people move on to the next it thing that emerges. At which point and only after the same thing that happened with Vader happens to them, the potential window for Vader to once again separate themselves opens back up. So goes the current endless circle of IPTV, and always surrounding reality where the very best of what IPTV has to offer is found in a situation that sees you a step or 2 ahead of the masses.

So on that note it gets YMMV recommendation from me, and only on the firm condition that you are buying another provider to run along side it. As I pointed out earlier Vader still has it's good days, even if they don't peak as high in reliability as they used to, and if you are willing to switch around when needed it might still have a rotational place place. At least until alternative services like Epic/Ace/Fab/Flawless/ect can go more then a month or 2 without people showing up in mass here to complain about them as well. For those that aren't willing to buy a second provider, it's a firm DON'T BUY though. Especially right now and if you are trying to cut legit cable and sell your household on it as an alternative. Trust me, the constant instability of Vader's servers and the headaches that morph out of that just aren't worth it. I'm as cheap/frugal as they come, but even I caved recently and bought both my girlfriend (who never shut up about the CBS feed or the broken catchup) and mother (who routinely got confused any time I tried to install 2 different services. "i thought I only needed to click on these icons...") new provider setups. $33/mo total, each only one line, and on top of what i already pay. Sucks, but the new lack of constant complaining after the last month or so was worth every penny.

TNT Hosting - 1 Month Review (US based)

BACKROUND

For starters and as noted in the title, this review is based solely on the use of US and sports channels only. That's all I watch or personally care about, and didn't bother testing outside that. So anything below is a direct reflection on that specific experience.

This sub was aimed primarily to be a backup to Vader Streams, although it also got a lot of primary time due to my desire to adequately test it and Vader's mid month melt down. TNT was run exclusively on either Kodi 17.6 (fresh install) or their APK, on wired 100mbps internet (which usually tested out in the 60-90mbps range with IPVanish running in the backround), and through my 2017 Nvidia Shield. While I don't consider myself Mr. Tech or anything, I am confident in my researching/tinkering ability enough that any trouble shooting done was both accurate and with every possibility exhausted to best isolate any non-TNT issue.

My viewing times/habits are as follows: Wed - Sat I'd watch maybe an hour or 2 of ESPNs/FOXSPORTSs/MLB/WWE channels in the afternoon before work, then another 3 hours afterwards (usually 11pm est on) with random movie channel surfing mixed in. Sun - Tues I have completely off, so TNT or Vader would be used or running in the backround most of those days. I watch all the UFC and WWE PPVs, plus Red Sox ST games that air on NESN. All in all I'd estimate that this review is based on roughly 75+ hours of testing.

SETUP/CUSTOMER SERVICE

Set up was pretty standard IPTV stuff, and aided by an extremely active Discord help chat. If you aren't the type that needs your hand held through the entire process all the info you need is readily available through a fairly extensive automated bot command with links system. Various device install walkthroughs, a M3U/EPG generator tool, direct links to supporting APKs, ect. That said there always seemed to be somebody live in there on a shift like schedule ready to help beyond that though.

Also to note while their website didn't offer the option to pay with paypal, I was given it there as well. Which then got activated in a matter of minutes.

EPG

APK - Mostly full and accurate US listings, but it's based on the same platform that all the other bigger IPTV providers (with the exception of GearsTV) are using in their apk. Which means like those others it is there as an added option, but something that is not very scroll friendly since it tends to jump all over the timeline. Leaving you constant scrolling just to get back to the current listing on the next channel down. YMMV, but I honestly didn't even bother with it much, nor do I ever use Vader's for the same reason.

Kodi - Point blank and outside it's fine population factor, I found the simple client setup to be very lacking. TNT doesn't offer an automated setup for it, or the option to customize the channel groups out that you don't want. Helping make the load time terrible too, which even on my Nvidia Shield would routinely get stuck on the VOD and take a good 1+ minute to finish.

That said, similar to Vader they do offer and seemed more centered around pushing their own Program Guide EPG. Which for those of you familiar with Vader is basically a direct copy of their version but with more polish put into it. It's actually pretty sweet looking, and wish I had tinkered around with it sooner then I had which was at the tail end of my sub. Seemed to work pretty well with what little time i got to spend with it though: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/382807866639253515/422399780732272640/Screenshot_329.png

Here is also a feature update tweak that was done to it today: http://teamnutz.info/guide/demo/Untitled.mp4

CHANNELS/QUALITY/RELIABILITY

Pretty standard to what everybody else if offering as far as US channels go nowadays. Everything I wanted with the seemingly rare across the board exception of NESN Plus was included. Most feeds were HD quality, although at times I did run into some very random SD feeds mixed in.

As far as overall channel stability as a whole goes, and after a rough first 2 days, I was pleasantly surprised given my previous experiences with notable cheaper services. Especially in their APK and once I made the base player switch to a free MX Player Pro install (night and day difference from using their default one btw). Buffering issues were minimal, and I actually ran in to less of them overall then I have with other more deemed "premium" providers here (like Fab for instance). Their ESPN feed in particular, which for me is basically my #1 watched channel and first in the testing line, was pretty on par to what I get through Vader. The 2 times I did run into any notable issues (once with ESPN and once with USA) I posted it in the Discord chat and it was fixed very shortly after too. No long wait, or a day going by before somebody even sees a ticket I put in with other providers.

Movie channels were a little more hit or miss then sporting channels were, but in the grander scheme of things that is more a universal issue with IPTV then anything else imo, and don't want it to come across as a "con" since for the most part I found them working adequately enough. If there is actually a provider out there who doesn't a stumble at least somewhat when it comes their stolen HBO/Cinemax/Showtime movie feeds, whether it be a wrong EPG listing or random buffering...I've yet to see or experience it.

As far as PPVs go I used TNT once for UFC 221, where it offered 4 different feeds. While I did need to cycle through all 4 of them at some point or another (4 total times), overall I gave it a passing grade. Links were all HD, and between the quick switches I wasn't really seeing any buffering and found it to be a more then adequate experience.

From a reliability standpoint I never never found TNT's service down once during the times I went to use it. In a month that also saw my main provider Vader go down at least..maybe 15 times total on a rough estimate I guess, I'm left scoring them some major points on that as well. TNT definitely had it's chances to step up to the plate this month and did so every time, with the exception of one movie I had been watching on Random_Showtime_X that wasn't fairing any better after the switch.

VALUE

While TNT does lack certain features various others bring to the table, such as catchup or free trials, I can't bring myself to penalize them at the $5/mo price point. Which is an excellent value considering I found their live TV to outperform some of the more popular options here that cost at least twice that. They also score additional value points for offering an additional stream at only $3.50 extra (although up from $2.50 when I bought mine), or $12/mo for 3 total.

Can't and won't comment on their VOD selection, since I never see the need for it in my IPTV services with easy access to everything through Kodi, but for those that are interested their list can be found here: http://teamnutz.info/TTV/vod_list.php

CONCLUSION

I'll start off here by stressing that your setup/player choice matters. If you are installing this on a "jailboken" Amazon firestick Kodi filled with god knows what, or are insisting on using subpar and fairly dated software like Perfect Player to watch your IPTV, a reset/switch to something more stable should always be trouble shooting step #2 (after doing an internet speed test, of course). Also, every individual user experience is always going to be subject to variables a review like this one can't adequately sum up. For instance I watch ESPN 30+ hours a month but don't ever watch Walking Dead live on AMC on Sunday night. Where as you might be the exact opposite, and thus subject to a concern I didn't test or could care less about. Generalized reviews and recommendations are helpful, but there ultimately is no substitute for firsthand experience with the details.

That said, at the $5/mo price point I'm going to put this down as a BUY. Especially if you are in the market for a more value oriented backup service, and which if you are using Vader as a primary like I am is pretty much a must nowadays. I do wish it had better simple client integration in Kodi, but that isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me either. Since unlike a lot of other APKs out there their's is fairly stable (again, with the switch to MX Player Pro). Plus I already have Vader eating up the simple client spot anyway, and simply installing them both on the same setup while then putting my most watched TNT channels in the favorites tab still makes everything fairly convenient.

So GenIPTV banned me

I was asked to post it here, originally from /r/iptv

Some background: I subscribed on December 2017 and the first weeks it ran all ok. Some minor issues like advertised FHD streams were just HD or a broken stream here and then.

Things got worse pretty quickly in January. Sometimes a Bundesliga stream was not in sync with audio or the complete stream was down during the Bundesliga Konferenz (five games simultaneously, one, two or three streams then were dead). Many german channels are just not working like expected.

I gave feedback very often about broken streams in the forum - they don't care. A broken stream? We don't care. Thing is, I was in that shout box (a chat) today and wrote something like:

me: "Sky Sport Bundesliga stream yesterday was crappy, as always. Maybe today will be better."

GenIPTV-support: replied something like "that's not true! Our capacities are high"

me: "Don't fucking lie, I complain every weekend among others that the Sky streams are shitty."

GenIPTV-supoort: "Give me your secret line" (he obviously meant the URL to my personalized .m3u)

Gave it to him without the password, because I naively thought he would look into it. I know, foul speak...

Let's see, I asked for refund. My guess is that I will never hear from them again. ;-)

Many complaints in their forum here: https://geniptv.net/threads/complaints-about-geniptv-servers.1551/page-154

Ban: https://imgur.com/a/ewfJO

Edit: two persons asked in that shout box about trial subs when I raged. Mmmmmaybe they don't want them to read that their services are crap...

Edit 2, 13.3., 20.15h CET

so here's the chat log from Sunday, 11.3., 12.11pm CET. I can provide screenshots as well.. https://nopaste.xyz/?5c0674f0ac13ad01#GpdZInYvIs42FF+aG9wCHzdnbMwsmgrKAIhojFLu6aU=

tl;dr: stay away from GenIPTV.

One year with NTV.

This provider offer tv channels from United States, Canada United Kingdom and also from scandinavia. The channels are very stable. I have tested many iptv providers. I have not found anyone as stable as NTV. They show off all the games in the English Premier League Championship League in a live broadcast. They also show most of the Matches in La Liga. They show off most of all live sport event events in the world. I first started using Kodi addon from them. Then I started using Mag 254 box which is a real luxury. it is also possible to use app for android called matrix player as very good. They also have a good VOD with a multitude of good movies. Cons They are not the cheapest. You get what you pay for. Customer service is very good they always answers very quickly. They offer a 3-day trial subscription https://www.ntv.mx

GFServers aka GOODFELLAS aka GFGOLD SCAMMERS!!!!

DO NOT BUY GFSERVER aka GOODFELLAS aka GFGOLD IPTV service!!! The service rarely works and when it does it lags like hell. It's a crap IPTV service. If you pay for 3 months you'll only get 1.5 months of service before it stops. If you email them, don't expect a response. AND if you get one, the person responding is a total asshole. They will talk to you like you're stupid. All they are is a few hillbillies that are IPTV RESELLERS. It's not their service. They have to contact the actual people doing the REAL work. Don't even think about asking for a refund!
