So GenIPTV banned me

by derkleineJunge

I was asked to post it here, originally from /r/iptv

Some background: I subscribed on December 2017 and the first weeks it ran all ok. Some minor issues like advertised FHD streams were just HD or a broken stream here and then.

Things got worse pretty quickly in January. Sometimes a Bundesliga stream was not in sync with audio or the complete stream was down during the Bundesliga Konferenz (five games simultaneously, one, two or three streams then were dead). Many german channels are just not working like expected.

I gave feedback very often about broken streams in the forum - they don't care. A broken stream? We don't care. Thing is, I was in that shout box (a chat) today and wrote something like:

me: "Sky Sport Bundesliga stream yesterday was crappy, as always. Maybe today will be better."

GenIPTV-support: replied something like "that's not true! Our capacities are high"

me: "Don't fucking lie, I complain every weekend among others that the Sky streams are shitty."

GenIPTV-supoort: "Give me your secret line" (he obviously meant the URL to my personalized .m3u)

Gave it to him without the password, because I naively thought he would look into it. I know, foul speak...

Let's see, I asked for refund. My guess is that I will never hear from them again. ;-)

Many complaints in their forum here: https://geniptv.net/threads/complaints-about-geniptv-servers.1551/page-154

Edit: two persons asked in that shout box about trial subs when I raged. Mmmmmaybe they don't want them to read that their services are crap...

Edit 2, 13.3., 20.15h CET

so here's the chat log from Sunday, 11.3., 12.11pm CET. I can provide screenshots as well.. https://nopaste.xyz/?5c0674f0ac13ad01#GpdZInYvIs42FF+aG9wCHzdnbMwsmgrKAIhojFLu6aU=

tl;dr: stay away from GenIPTV.

Well, don't swear, IPTV forum is a serious business, not a IRC channel, and you got banned from the Forum, not from the service, title misleading.

Ok, to be fair to providers/resellers...SlySp for many has been getting battered every weekend for a few weeks now. For some others it seems no problems. As someone said, 75 %of the time it is user error/isp related...one or the other....but the provider always gets the ruff end of the verbal? Providers dont WANT guys complaining, smooth runnings is the name of the game, occasionally that is just beyond everyones control unfortunately & i dont back this provider at all, just a general thing.... Getting refunds...in IPTV....it does happen, but not often. You take a trial...you are happy....you buy, simple. If you expect virmin or Sly reliability & a chat/support line....go pay them. Give they guys that stick their necks out a bit of credit, the majority are NOT out to rip you off. If youre mentioning channels by name in a public forum, im not surprised you got booted. Sometimes it pays to remember...its IPTV, a bit of patience & understanding goes a long way. I think maybe you got shit service....but you expect alot for a £10 sub, or what ever price. But again, if you tested...then it went to pot??? Spend elsewhere, youll stiil be paying less than Sly or Vermin or who ever. put it down to a lesson learned. Trial...Trial...Trial...then buy...by the month;) Just sayin😢

I appreciate your honesty not editing the bad parts out of your conversation with the reseller.

  1. Acting professional will get you professional service. Your arguments loose punch if you get emotional.
  2. Always ask for a trial before buying.
  3. No need to post 2 threads saying the same thing

Often the price determines the quality.Second, it is best to ask the iptv service provider for free trial access before purchasing.I am now subscribing to Airtv, and I enjoy watching sports channels, and the streaming is very stable. The most important thing is to enjoy the free trial for 3 days before purchase. I think this is great.

Honestly, Gen IPTV has been great for me. Yes, you can find some mislabeled FHD channels here and there, yes you can find some streams not working properly here and there, etc. But, what did you expect from a cheap and big provider like that? I mean, we are talking about over 7,000 live channels for US$7.

I find that most channels work really well and the quality is really good at that price and with that many channels. Did you expect a flawless 7,000 channel service? If so, IPTV is not for you. Sorry. Or at the very least go with something like SET TV, wich has only 500+ channels for $20 a month.
