Area 51 IPTV, cheap cheap IPTV

by Dobber5099

I'm probably not going to give the most in depth IPTV review ever, but I haven't seen anything on this subreddit pertaining to this service. I saw someone post about it on Facebook of all places, saying they had 500+ channels for $5 a month. Now, that is met with immediate skepticism from me, considering I had a trial of SETVNOW, which had about the same number of channels for $20 a month. I went to the website, saw indeed it was $5 a month, and I liked their channel lineup. I'm a huge sports/motorsports fan, so seeing their lineup have all the major sporting outlets, including PPV, MLB Extra Innings, NHL Center Ice, and NFL games (haven't tested yet because, no NFL obviously) I was definitely intrigued. They needed literally no personal information from me except for an email address. They accepted Paypal as a payment method which was equally as nice. I subbed up for a month and downloaded their apk from the play store. I received my login info via email almost immediately after signing up, and signed right into the app. Clicking on a couple random channels, they were in HD, quality was pretty average. Maybe a little bit better than what you would expect for $5. A channel I really wanted was MAVTV, as I said I'm a motorsports fan. This channel was not in HD, but for the price didn't bug me all that bad considering I had no other way to get it. So far so good.

On Area 51's site they allow you to download an M3U playlist of your channels so you can use an IPTV player or just VLC on a computer. I can't tell you how much that comes in handy. Their customer support is pretty top notch as well. I've had to submit a few tickets when it comes to questions concerning the channel lineup and the one time MAVTV went down. (It was back up within a day, and in HD so WOOHOO!) They respond quickly and have helpful answers.

Now as far as cons go, the $5 a month is for one connection at a time. Each additional connection is another $5, which still beats some competitors prices (SETVNOW gives 3 for $20). Some channels are not in HD. The few I found were MAVTV, Nicktoons, and a couple other off channels. I haven't really gone to any of the foreign channels as I'm primarily concerned with the US based networks, however, curiosity had me clicking and every channel I clicked on worked from Canada, India, and some Spanish channels.

Overall I'd say the experience for me has been quite excellent. If you're looking for something cheap, and pretty good in the quality department, I'd check em out. I'm not sure if I can post links here so if I can I'll edit my review but until then, just google area 51 hosting, and check em out for yourselves. I'm not sure if they offer a trial, but I assume they might considering in the account settings it says my account is not a trial lol.

Any other questions I'd be happy to reply if I have the experience and knowledge. Happy viewing!

Feel free to join up and try out this amazing service here .

Hi where is Areas51 discord link

l0stie815

I got a month of area 51 to watch the six nations while at work constantly buffered some aspects of it are good epg was fairly non existent on USA channels the layout of channels was all over the place on perfect player they really need to sort this it just looks lazy and hard to locate a certain channel but for $5 it probably is a fair price but id have this as a back up not reliable enough for me.

fubag

just signed up yesterday, most channels work fine, some buffered here and there, but not bad for just $5/month...

Anyone know a good IPTV Service that has lots of channels in spanish? i watch a lot of spanish content, i am currently paying for Area 51 IPTV Service but they don't have that many channels in spanish.

paulie07

As much as I wanted to like Area 51, because it has a dedicated rugby league channel. There was just too much buffering for me personally.

Jowitt1234

Do you have all season of below deck pm me

Dobber5099

I'm sorry to everyone that has buffer problems with this service. :/ I didn't think to include it in my review because I actually have no buffer issues. I have relatively fast internet, but I guess the service is hit or miss. If you want decent quality channels for tin can price, this is the way to go no doubt lol

babyballz

Tried them for a couple of months and for $5 a month it's good but not great by any means (to me). Using Fab and Nitro now and been relatively happy with them. Much better than Area 51 but 2x the cost.

iptvfanboy

Anybody had both eternal and area-51 and liked one or the other?

thingaboutarsenal

Picked this up to try it out because $5 is cheap. It is a buffering mess of buffering and stuttering. I've wasted $5 on worse.

kratomboy

You get 2 connections for 5 dollars.

Dobber5099

Another thing I forgot to mention, on a few channels there is a tiny watermark. Literally unnoticeable, but worth mentioning.

What device were u using?

Aval_Plaza

Very nice and detailed review and info. Thank you so much!

Signed up for this yesterday, it's not the quality I had from MyTV/Vader, but it's more than adequate for a phone/tablet.

Speaking of which, there's an android app with inbuilt EPG - it's really good, and free.

Jowizo

This may be a dumb question, but is this legal? I want to get it for my parents but am not sure if using my paypal is the best idea..

Bought this yesterday and I am satisfied with the product for the most part. They have some pixellation on some FHD channels, but for 5 bucks, you can't go wrong. The epg seems to be much better than Flawless. When Flawless went down yesterday during a bad server swap or DDOS (depending on who you are listening to) it was good to have a backup.

Thanks for the review. Do you have a link for their channel lineup? I wasn't able to find it on their website or their FB group page - thanks!

I've been using area 51 for the past 5 month, just paying one month at the time, in my opinion, it sucks, half of the channels don't load, if they do the freeze, the NBA playoffs , I tried TNT and ESPN on the USA side and the BTSPORTS1 and BTSPORTS EXTRA (on the UK side), on the USA side you get kicked out immediately, it shows " Sorry but this stream can't be display or something like that" even with a VPN service. The UK side it shows but after 3 or 4 minutes it kicks you out too, I have a internet service of 67 Meg , connected to a modem of 5G for faster speeds. I used sports tv appk and it shows all the games better than the paying service and this is free. If I'm gonna pay for a service that actually performs similar to a free one, even though is only $5.00, I rather have nothing, this my opinion, sorry. Thank you.

I love area 51 for 5 dollars Ty vary much watched the pats get beat this weekend was a vary good picture went to gears was not so good that was the final nail for gears.I don't no they act like you should be happy you have them.

I have tried several IPTV services and have found Area 51 the best so far especially for the price. They now have a live TV with guide section which is great. Haven't had any buffering issues or picture issues. Definitely worth the money.
