Part of the problem here is sub resellers, some resellers insist on a minimum purchase of credits each month and if the sub reseller doesn't buy them their panels are shut down

Hopefully you didn't pay too much for the sub, but this does happen on occasion. Nothing wrong with paying a 1 year sub, as long as you don't mind potentially losing the money. I personally would recommend that you never pay any more than £30 or equivalent.
