Heix Unexpected Payment Warning

by a1057940

Everyone on Helix knows the issues, but just as a warning, i had a payment taken out of my account in the middle of the night on a bank account i haven't used for ages for a sub that i let expire months ago (i can tell this by the value taken)

it was a web transact payment, so people be vigilant, i presume this is exactly why you should use Bitcoin for payments.

I'm incredibly disappointed with how Helix has handled this on going situation. They have disabled/deleted every social media site they run and have yet to release any statement regarding the matter. I was one of the strongest supporters of Helix, but the way this is turning out is extremely shady/questionable. Unless more proof of the "hack" surfaces, it may all be a way to ditch and run. I really hope I am wrong, but the complete radio silence does not go well in their favor (especially if people are still being charged) .

Hope your able to cancel the charge and switch to a new card.

Call it in as a fraud charge and report card if you used one, fuck those bitches!!!

Honestly, everyone who's ever done business with them should have blocked any card ever used for payment as soon as it was announced they were hacked. Surprised they haven't cleaned out any accounts yet.

I trialled them once, and don't get what all the fuss is about! Found much better services since 🤷‍♂️

I use visa/mastercard gift cards to pay for my IPTV. They (Helix) drained a $100.00 gift card I had used once, about $85.00. I will never use Helix again and only use service that use Paypal.

Thanks for the warning.

I checked my bank and there is a 8.22USD charge for Players' Lounge lekki, which ivd no clue about. Anyone know what that could be?

As someone who hasn’t subbed to Helix in a long time, thanks for the heads up - I’ll keep a lookout!

I wonder how any service can make unauthorized withdrawals from your credit cards.

All my credit cards require a OTP to be entered by me before any online transaction can be approved

After the hack my payment choice was auto switched to cards even though I never used one. Red flags went off asap.

I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but i did get a bunch of "players lounge" transactions on my bank statement after all these issues started happening. I searched it up and it seems to be some sorta online gambling. My bank was able to reverse and cancel my cards.

Use the privacy dot com app. It lets you make virtual cards that can be one time use burner cards as well. The cards are connected to your bank account and you set the limit on them. Best thing ever for online payments because you never give out your real card’s number and info .
