I've had Epic Streams for about 9 months and it's been good. Not great, good. Plenty of channels from many regions around the world. EPG Guide, Catch Up, and Movie & TV Shows On Demand. Organized their channels in groups very easy to navigate. Customer support is very fast. And the price is extremely reasonable. I mainly watch sports packages and for that, Epic Streams is flawless. As with most of their US/CAN channels, the games are crystal clear HD and no buffer. Very solid service.

So why the score?

1. CHANNEL ISSUE NEVER FIXED.

MTV, Paramount, Showtime Xtra and HBO East all have extremely bad audio lag. With multiple tickets opened, a resolution has never been met. Trying to watch Ridiculousness or Bar Rescue with the lag is a NO BUENO.

2. TV GUIDE ISSUE

As the above issue, there are just a couple of channels that the EPG is extremely off. I'm not talking 30 minutes, more like 10+ hours off.

3. PPV EVENTS

Any PPV Events like UFC fights, Boxing, Wrestling, etc are a hit or miss. So inviting 50 people over for a BBQ viewing party is a hard NO BUENO.

4. EAST COAST (AND BEYOND) CHANNELS

I live in California, so having a ton (20+) of East Coast or UK channels set as "US" channels is highly inconvenient. By the time the kids and I get home from school and work there is nothing worth watching on because it's being streamed from an East Coast or UK source but although grouped in the US category. I.E. We'll get home and Nickelodeon is now Nick at Nights showing King of Queens and The Office. Cartoon Network is now Adult Swim. And other channels are showing late night programming or infomercials. During the day, these channels are showing marathons of one show because the source is 2:00-3:00 AM.

OVERALL: GOOD Stable Service. Recommend as great sports service and/or 2nd/Backup IPTV service

I live in California as well and am wondering with your pretty extensive experience with IPTV, which of these services have you had the best experience with? I mainly watch sports as well, but do enjoy the occasional live TV and really like TV catchup features for one off live events like The Oscars or when I just have no other means of watching a particular program.

Also, do any of the services give you enough confidence for your 3rd item?

I used epicstreams for 6 month after I moved to iptvclouds , the reason I switched epic is there bad customer service specially on dead Chan’s . I’ve been 6 months + with iptvclouds with no issues

Thanks for the info. I’m new to this. Can you recommend the best website to get Epic. And do I need to add a vpn. I’m using amazon fire stick. Thanks in advance.

Thx for the review. I'm a reseller of Epicstream so i think i am fit to make a statement even though you might not be a customer of mine

Point # 1. This is mostly true. Some streams are just out of their control and the ones you mentioned are problematic. I will pass this on and try to see if a better solution can be had

Point #2 - while this is also true, I can say that Epicstream has one of the most accurate EPG on the market. Maybe 90% of the EPG is correct. Getting EPG correct for all streams is not an easy task. If so, all providers would have had it nailed down.

Point #3 - This too is true but i say this, NO PROVIDER can say that they have never had a Bad PPV. To be honest though, there is room for improvement. Will also pass this on

Point #4. As you said its really inconvenient for you but might be the best for another as it relates to some of those channels.

Bottom line though, Epicstream is still one of the most stable provider in the market today. If the channel list suites you, then its definitely the keeper. You will find reviews that says Epicstream has dropped the ball in channel selection and quality but you will only find a few saying BUFFERING or SERVER DOWN.

If stability is what you seek, then Epicstream is hard to beat.

Hey man what player are you using? And what device? I've been with epicstream for 1.5 years and I have no complaints. I use perfect player and tivimate on my android box and 4k firestick on my android box all channels play fine with decoder set to auto but on my firestick I have to set my decoder to hardware and like you said bar rescue and ridiculousness are unwatchable but its because in perfect player you have to set the decoder for those 2 channels to software.(by hitting menu when selected on epg and going to decoder and trying different decoders for problem channels) This made them play smooth for me and fixed the audio/video out of sync issue. I recently tried a new player tivimate and I love it it works so much better than pp and all channels play smooth
