U-HOST - a solid month

Hi guys.

Thought I would review a newer service that most haven't mentioned recently. I tested out a new service named U-Host. I was lucky enough to get a discounted price when they were running a sale. You might be lucky enough to snag a special, they sometimes post to /r/iptv and /r/iptvresellers.

I was using Gears for a while. Gears was alright but the picture was totally washed out (some channels had a whitish tint) on my 4K TV and they didn't issue M3u playlists so I rather opted for a service that has the option for M3u, and an app. I was surprised to see that U-host had a web player as well. They say they have an app with built-in VPN but I haven't tried it yet.

I watched the Arsenal v Tottenham game on the weekend and it ran without problem in 1080p. It's got many US/UK sports sections with SD, HD, and FHD options. It's got a 3PM kick-offs section.

I saw some freeview UK stuff (BBC, itv, Channel 4) with SD, HD, FHD options as well. I watch a lot of news from around the world and was interested to see I could even watch Indian news with no problems.

There is a sizable VOD section. And you can ask for an Adult section to added, but if you don't want it, they can leave it out.

If you have any questions about the service, I can answer them. Nonetheless, for a month of service, I am a happy camper with this service.

Do you know what server you were on? They have two servers or had two servers.

1 was lunar and was poor for me in the states

Second was lt television. Much better experience, but for a user in the states wasn't ideal.

I have been trying out U-Host with the recent 2 months for the price of 1 deal. The buffering was bad at first but now all of the UK channels are flawless. Some of the US channels still have pretty bad buffering, though... I probably won’t renew once my subscription is over.

I do have to say that U-host customer service is excellent. They respond almost immediately to tickets. But I need reliable US channels.

have only been using them for a few days using tivimate the channel zapping is super fast on the UK channels on the US channels is a bit slower... nil buffering so far.. best service i have used so far
the ticket answering is very quick just wish for 2 things australian tv and a disord or telegram chat will suggest this service to my friends.. but will wait till they have a promo

Streaming in US via wired fiber internet thru ExpressVPN on Fire TV Cube, unwatchable with constant buffer. Disappointed thus far but open to suggestion.

Stupid question but to use the dedicated UK service, it asks for vpn to be used. I’m intended in using it via firestick. How does vpn work with firestick? Do I need a dedicated vpn app on firestick?

What device do I select if I’m using a Dreamlink? Do you have HBO HD and will it be reliable when GoT comes out? Can I remove the adult channels later if I change my mind?

Is that channel list complete?, if so it has one of the worst UK Channel line up's i've ever seen from any provider, in fact the Freeview Channels outnumber the Premium Entertainment ones, so why pay $10 a month?. They don't even seem to carry popular Sat channels like UK Gold, and what about Sony Crime ?, UK AMC ?, Fox ?. Living TV?, Sky One? - these are just basic sat channels. I thought at first they were only touting for a US and Canadian Market until I saw their "UK dedicated" option, which is ludicrous given the lack of popular premium UK Satellite channels. Check out channel lists from pretty much any competitor to see the shortfall in UK Entertainment channels on offer from U-Host!.
