Helix IPTV - 2 Month review

by smuttytusker

Had been using various IPTV services for the past 2 years and nothing was stable. I watch few News channels and other discovery channel and the likes. But the providers I tried before were choppy with higher downtime.

Then I came across this page r/IPTVReviews and found a few positive reviews about the Helix. so I requested for a 2 day trial. I run on verizon FIOS 100Mbps connection. Currently using Xiaomi Mi box for IPTV, But I also have a nVIDIA Shield as well as MxQ based on S912.

I went in for their custom apk, installed in both Mi Box and MxQ. worked flawlessly for all the channels listed. I didnt go through the gazillion channels available. But whatever I selected worked fine. so I opted for the basic package for 3 months.

I have already completed 2 months of my current subscription. All my channels works flawlessly. At times I have left it running for couple of days, though the TV was off.. the channel was still going good.

Once the current subscription ends, I am planning on going with the Single Helix package, which also provides me the access to worldwide channels.

I recommended this to a friend of mine, after experiencing the service at my home, he went back cancelled his cable service and subscribed for Helix.

Hands down.. the best service I have come across and no issues to complain about.

I wonder sometimes how many of these "reviews" are actually real. Nice first post by the way.

I'm officially unable to pay for Helix. PayPal disabled, all credit cards declined, BTC didn't seem to work either. What kind of business makes it hard for you to give your money to!!??

I think that most of the reviews are real. It's just the reviews that are being auto-modded that you're not seeing. That's why this subreddit has become a joke in my opinion.

It’s definately one of the more stable live tv options, but no better then tnt in that respect, it’s catchup and vod sections are buffer central. By contrast Vaders does everything very well but live tv. Vaders/helix combo might be the way to go.

Probably a stupid question. But I'm about to sign up for a 48hr trial. It requires a MAG address. Is that the same as MAC? I'm presumably going to use their android app.

Edit: yep... Just entered my mac address... Things are working fine. Couple of channels here and there buffer. Thanks for the review, pushed me to finally trial a service.

Helix has had an ordinary month no doubt, very good prior to that.

I’m finding tnt to be a lot more stable.

I thought the Double Helix is the one with the International Channels?

ftm2008

does anyone know if the Irish channels are part of the international or they include this in the UK or UK US packages

Love to try them out, too bad there is no way to pay them :-)

Actually a shout out to their customer service / ticket system. Took care of my payment options within 1/2 hour. Awesome service so far :-)
