Spoiler Alert - Been testing through a few stinkers (if the streams aren't stable I won't even bother investing the testing time to do a review) lately before Twisted TV, and was feeling comfortable enough with the results thus far to put this out earlier then i usually do.
BACKROUND
This review is based solely on the use of US and sports channels over a 2+ week period. That's all I watch or personally care about, and didn't bother either using or testing any of the other language content that is offered. So as always, anything below is a direct reflection on that specific experience.
Twisted TV was run on both the APK and a fresh install of Kodi 17.6 with no backround addons other then using Ares Wizard to set my advanced settings. Internet speeds generally tested out at 75mbps+ with IPVanish running in the backround, and on a wired connection through my 2017 Nvidia Shield. While I don't consider myself Mr. Tech or anything, I am confident in my researching/tinkering ability enough that any trouble shooting done was both accurate and with every possibility exhausted to best isolate any non-Twisted TV issue. All in all I'd estimate that this review is based on roughly 75 hours of use.
SETUP/CUSTOMER SERVICE
Setup is standard as far as a Kodi install goes, from their own add source repo. Same goes for the APK, which was a simple matter of downloading it (or to note, an alternate skinned version they offer and which i found cooler looking) through an APK installer like Downloader and then inputing your log in info.
Customer service is pretty solid, with their own Discord chat for install/channel help. Never popped in there without a mod being around to respond, and who were always looking to be helpful or actively watching for any downed channel reports (turn around time on those seemed pretty solid as well). I'll score the direct seller 28statemedia that I got it from here extra points as well for always replying to every random question I had in a very timely manner as well.
EPG
Population factor was good in both the APK/Kodi, and the listings were usually there for anything that is typically expected in IPTV to have one. However, and as another provider that's using the same APK and basic kodi install as almost everybody else...same ol same ol drill on layout. Personally, I'm not a fan at all of using that Smarter APK to channel surf (Twisted TV's scrolling is a tad clunkier then other Smarter ones at that btw), and the Kodi experience is bogged down by a 1+ minute load up time even on my Nvidia Shield and lack of an option to filter out channel groups. MLB channel group listing is also frequently wrong as well, requiring you to click through a few channels to find the actual game you want to watch.
Granted, I need 2 fingers to count the other providers out there I can't make these same exact EPG nitpicks on, and one of which comes with a constant stream of back end problems. But yeah...gonna keep doing it anyway. The EPG experience matters, and a subpar experience shouldn't be nearly as standard as it has become in IPTV nowadays.
Plus side there is an option to turn off the channel groups in the APK, and there is a ton of them (38 total to be exact) you don't want to see by going into the Parental Control settings. Which is always a nice feature, especially if/when you really want to "dumb down" a setup. For example, my mother really like the one total channel group setup, where it's really hard for her to "accidentally" end up clicking into somewhere she wasn't intending to go.
CHANNELS/QUALITY
Twisted TV's US channel selection is pretty par from the course and what you'd expect out of any IPTV service nowadays, and any of which can be favorited in the APK. What they excel at though, and where every other provider attempt I've tested has ultimately failed, is the offering of additional backup feeds on a lot channels. That you know...actually still work if/when the other one is down. Major points scored here for this, as I never found myself without a completely working feed of something I wanted to watch during my testing. They also offer a solid offering of regional channels as well (some 60fps found in here too btw).
HD picture quality was one of the better ones I've tested, and as a comparative example on par with Vader Streams. Lots of 60 fps streams scattered about, especially on the more popular channels, even if immediately identifying which of the multiple feed options it was being offered was never obvious without watching it first. For my own primary 60fps needs - ESPN check, FS1 check, and working feeds of my Red Sox games were usually covered. On the lower end note, I never ran across any SD feeds that I can readily recall in my surfing around either.
The above said, the channel grouping could use some work though. For starters they surprising don't have a movie channel group...which should be standard inclusion stuff and honestly kind of an WTF fail imo. Both USA and MLB extra innings as another example have 2 separate groups, which led to a lot more "find the good link" clicking around then i wanted sometimes when walking in the door and just wanting to flip the show/game on.
STABILITY
Aided by the backup channels I'd rate Twisted Tv's stability/reliability as notable above IPTV average. Probably a slight upgrade to my Eternal TV sub right now if I was to make a direct comparison, and which I honestly haven't used one time since I started testing Twisted TV. As already noted above I always found a feed that worked during my testing, and even random buffering once I did was pretty dang rare. I tested one PPV which was UFC 226, which had 2 HD feeds up and played out extremely well on the only one I tried. Only 2 random and momentary buffers all night.
The APK also notable offers an option to switch the base player between VLC and MX Player, and which I always like to see.
FEATURES/VALUE
VOD - A somewhat decent overall selection of movies/shows is indeed present, but as always in this part I'm going to point out how mostly pointless I find that stuff to be. There are a ton of movie/show kodi addons and APK nowadays where you can get that stuff easily enough (not to mention always find uploaded faster) without paying out a dime to your IPTV provider, and which don't come with the accompanying risk of that 1 particular link not working either.
That said, I am going to score them a usually non-existent "something I can't readily find on Kodi/Terrarium" VOD point here for actually posting the UFC 226 VOD up in a fairly timely manner, which was about 3 or so hours after it ended. As a somebody who usually works Saterday nights and upon getting home has to avoid all social media and browser home pages until a working link is found...it was a rare score to see that as I'm sure other big UFC fans out there can relate to. If you are going to VOD something like that quick upload times there is everything - knowing who won the big fight while watching the replay basically puts a huge downer on the whole thing. Unfortunately though, they don't make the same timely effort on their WWE Raw and Smackdown uploads.
RADIO/MUSIC VIDEO FEEDS/LIVE CAMS - About 200 or so total. Not really my thing, but most seemed to play when clicking on them in my testing if it happens to be your's.
24/7 CHANNELS - Again not my thing, but there is over 200 total and which all seemed to be working when I did a quick test look.
ADULT CHANNELS - Including this here because every time I've tested them on another service they were pretty unreliable at best, and more typically a buffering/stuttering mess. Twisted TV's 22 total were the first I've seen that were actually fairly stable as a whole.
Additional Connections - At the time of this review 28statemedia has informed me he's willing to match Eternal TV's 5 connections for $10 price tag with no geo lock here on reddit, and which obviously is one of the best surface value price tags out there. Enough so that I was even willingly to mostly overlook the complete lack of a catchup feature, and which of course is notably absent from their feature list.
CONCLUSSION
If I was handing out a "best IPTV provider you've probably never tried or heard of" reddit award, Twisted TV would be my pick atm. In fact with the successful implantation of backup channel feeds, plus a rare and healthy offering of 60 fps offerings, I'd rank it as currently out-performing quite a few of the more universally recommended staple providers here that get routinely pushed on familiar name value alone (that and a lot of reseller investment interest, obviously). I'd probably have even put it down as a comparable BUY at the $10 for one connection rate before he decided to match Eternal's price. So at 5 connections for $10 it's pretty much a no brainer look imo. Definitely a great staying ahead of the masses streaming experience to be found in this one atm (fun fact - pirated servers getting too popular and heavily recommended/sold is ultimately never a good thing for *your* end), and at worst my new current pick as an extremely ideal service to be carrying around as the backup I strongly recommend people have regardless.
Of course, how their own servers hold up after the huge push it no doubt deserves is always open to future question. So like everything else I also recommend going month-to-month on any potential purchase.
Also to note, the 5 connections for $10 is a new permanent pricing structure exclusive to people on reddit, aimed at being competitive to what else is being sold here. It is not being openly offered anywhere else, and not every reseller of the service is charging their current customers that rate. So keeping that in mind and with respect to current customers who bought an account before this deal was being offered, Twisted TV would appreciate it not being openly mentioned in their Discord chat. For the 5/$10 price you have either private message 28statemedia here on reddit, or to twisted28 in the Discord.
