Helix IPTV Review: Good low price provider

by katewilson2012

Tried Helix over the Weekend. Overal seems pretty good.

Starting with the negatives. VOD - Way too many. Needs a better organization scheme. I tried loading their trial service on Smart IPTV and it crashed it and could not get it up. After talking to their support, it Turns out SmartIPTV limitation that cannot handle all the VOD. Support removed the VOD and it worked well. I wish Helix focused on quality rather than quantity. Grade: C That being said I got Terriam and Kodi w/Real Debrid so not having the VOD was not a big deal.

PACKAGES: I really like how they broke out their packages, some providers like to break out sports and entertainment under different packages but honestly, that never really fit with me. Sometimes I want to watch sports and sometimes I want to watch entertainment. They had a UK Helix at £4 which is really amazing to tell you the truth. I get all the UK channels sports, news entertainment. That fits well with me and great my mum who might be overwhelmed by too many channels. This package has NO VOD which makes it good. I went with a separate UK package for me and my parents.
I believe they got their £4 CA/US package which might be good for people form the US/CA Both come with PPV and soccer. They also got Single (UK/US/CA) , Double (+ International) and triple (+xxx) to fit other needs. I am happy with the £4 package. Honestly I like this the most about them the packages. Grade: A

STREAMS: Most channels are of hq quality. I did get a buffer once and a while, when I ticketed them they fixed it quickly. BT and SKY sports have multi versions each Popular channels have backups Seems good. Grade: B+

SUPPORT: I several a ticket and they usually answered within a couple of hours. It’s not as fast as some of the others I seen but I understand their prices might not justify it. Can’t complain for £4. Grade: B

VALUE: I think they excel here. It is not as expensive and is one of the cheapest. They work well and I am happy with them. GRADE: A

OVERALL: I think they are relatively new and so far they seem very good. I am problaby going to cancel my other service and stick with the £4 UK Helix. Recommendation: BUY

My review would be pretty similar. They had to remove vod as my smart tv couldn’t cope with it. Channels were taking a minute to load. Now it all works fine, can’t complain

Paid for the month today, and I'm bloody impressed. Lets just see how they get on when the season starts....

Been using this for around a week and no problems so far, seems to be one of the most stable I've used. Just now waiting to be able to test ppv and premier league. Helix app seems best option. Surprised at how well channels like sky 1 and history/h2 work since a lot of providers seem to have trouble with them. Definitely worth £6 a month for uk/us/ca.

very good service for the price well worth it.but could fix audio issues and sd channels that are meant to be hd

No bad provider but a big rippof in terms of extra connections. Look at UK package, yearly 38 E, extra connection on that sub is 44 E :) lol, rippof. Also on other packages same ripoff, too pricey for extra connections, they treat it like a new sub almost wich is stupid since you are commited to same ip as main sub.

Gonna give them a shot. I paid for 3 months up front, hopefully that wasnt a mistake

I would agree with your review but I do regularly see HD channels swapped out for SD ones. Often see audio out of sync or missing. Once you raise a ticket they're quick to respond and usually act, but it's annoying that it doesn't seem to be monitored.

That said £4 per month for single helix is incredible value, I don't think you'll get a better package for all the UK channels!

Does anyone know if helix will have ifollow streams this season? Looking for a provider that will have them.

Using it myself on stb and the app is handy too.

Just set up the stbemu app with these and imo it's the best way to use it.

Hi, really want to give Helix a go but you have to register on the site to get the free trial, giving them full name and home address details, not sure if I am confident to do that. Did you put in your personal details?

Hi all,

I'm currently on a 24 hour trial with Helix.During the day yesterday (Friday), I discovered that LFC TV was down and UK Nat Geo had audio but no picture. I've raised this with them but I don't know if it's fixed yet . (edit: Nat Geo seems to be working, LFC TV isn't)

I tried various sports channels throughout the afternoon and they all worked flawless. No buffering at all. This was using my Chromebook and the OTTPlayer on my Samsung Smart TV.

I was very tempted to buy a month but waited for the Reading v Derby match to start....it was unwatchable on $ky (kept going off completely every few minutes) an according to liveonsat it should have been on Bein Sports too but that channel wasn't loading.Obviously I've raised a ticket and 'Bob' said they'll look in to it but I think I forgot to mention about Bein.

I realise with $ky it's more than likely to go off than with other channels so it was a shame that I couldn't find the game elsewhere.

I'll hopefully get time to try it again during a live match today before my trial runs out.

EDIT: I managed to watch about 20 minutes of the Sunderland v Charlton match earlier without any issues at all. I couldn't watch any more as i had to go out and when I got home my trial had run out.

I have done a subscription for month to see how it goes.

Hi All, interested in Helix since Flawless sub has expired.

Can Helix be set up through Perfect Player on a Firestick? Interested to hear how it's been working on there for people if so.

Nice one thanks!

And just to check before I buy, does single helix option have all the 3pm links included?
