Helix (UK ONLY Channels) Review
Backgroud: I tested almost all IPTV providers here and have had monthly subscription with all the major ones here.
I saw Helix show up here last couple weeks. Honestly they seems like another other IPTV provider, so I really did not pay attention to them. Same old packages and really did not catch my attention.
Recently they offered a neat package £4 for UK only channels. Being from the UK, this really had me wondering.. being from the UK, I really only watched UK channels.....
When I had packages with all channels.. Every once in a while I took a gander at US or canada channels but I end up switching back to UK channels.. maybe its the commercials or the way they talk. I always end up going back to UK channels. BBC,Channel4, Sky and BT.. I stick with these channels. these are my staple of channels. I really do not need hundred of channels.
So I gave these guys a try. So far I am IMPRESSED. It half or a third of the price (£4) of the highly touted providers here.
It is a nice, tight and concise list of my favorite channels.. Everything I need I get..
This means, playlists are quick to load.. which also means I can find my favorite channels muck quicker.
As for VOD and 24/7, it's really an ARMS race here, many provider say they got the best or the most... this UK package does not include VOD or 24/7.. so it is a very simple small package of channels that is really easiy to navigate.
I use TVIRL with Live Channels on Nvidia Sheild. I use to modify my channel list to remove all unneed channels. I do not have to do it with this.
I opened a ticket twice and they answered quickly. Streams seem to be high quality consistent with the highly regarded providers here.
This UK only package from HELIX is a winner especially for blokes for me. I imagine it would be good for the elderly and others who is use to a smaller and targeted channels list.
I would recommend anyone overwhelmed with channels list, give these guy a try. I will probably stick with these guys for a bit. Can't really beat the price IMHO. Cheers!
EDIT: Forgot the link.
Can confirm it's a decent provider with a lot of channels. I like that it has Australian channels in HD. Not much buffering.
