Ace and Flawless IPTV 4 month short review

by BringerOfRainX1

I'll start with my main service which I've chosen to be Ace .

Channel Selection - 9/10: They offer a huge range of channels which I believe is over 3600 right now. Plenty of UK/US/CA and international channels to choose from. I did find however they are missing a couple of channels I watch like MTV UK for example. Still I am impressed with the selection.

Picture Quality - 8/10: As most IPTV providers get their streams from the same source, picture quality isn't going to look that different no matter who you're with. I am happy with the picture quality but it could be better.

Buffering- 9/10: This is the reason why ACE is my main service. I get very little buffering only really at peak times and then ISP throttling on top of that. I can still watch SD and even some HD channels without problems. All I have to do is turn my VPN on to stop my ISP throttling me and I can watch FHD again without buffering at peak times.

VOD - 6/10: I personally don't care about VOD. I have terrerium tv, movie HD and plenty of other free movie apps that do a great job. From what I can see they have decent amount of VOD.

Conclusion - Very happy with the service overall. There hasn't been too much down time from my recollection so rarely have to use a back up.

Now for my backup service Flawless .

Channel Selection - 10/10: Huge and fantastic selection of channels (Over 5000). There isn't one channel I like that they don't have.

Picture Quality - 9/10: Most streams are from the same sources as other IPTV providers like I said before, so majority of channels look the same as anywhere else. When it comes to their own streams they look so colourful, sharp and most all smooth with 50hz streams. Really impressive and look forward to seeing them add more of that quality.

Buffering - 7/10: Alas all good things must come to an end. This is why Flawless is only my backup for the time being. I get extremely bad buffering at peak times without VPN on. Even sometimes during the day it would buffer. This could be to do with the route to the server I'm connected to or higher bitrates compared to Ace. Either way it requires more speed for me to watch Flawless than Ace and I don't always have that speed without my VPN to help and even with my VPN stopping the throttling, It still buffers on FHD during peak times.

VOD - 7/10: Like I said VOD isn't something I really care about. They have quite a good selection. If they or Ace offered 4K VOD I would be more interested.

Conclusion - Fantastic channel selection and quality let down by buffering for me. I'm sure with fiber speed and no throttling, buffering wouldn't be a problem for other people. There isn't a lot of down time here either from what I remember. Always up when I need it.

I was with Flawless for a around 6 months (untill tonight), started off quite well but as it got bigger it gradually got a lot worse with buffering and outages etc. If you had an issue it was always the fault of either your set up or the supplier or your internet provider. Tonight it appears that their servers were suspended the website is no longer accessible and the Facebook page has gone. Oh well, the search for a reliable iptv provider continues.

Agree both pretty much top notch, mag reduces buffering as can cache 1 to 5 seconds

Review seems confusing. You basically rate flawless as a bit better due to their own higher quality streams coming online, and that with the vpn on you get no buffering. So why would you not just use the vpn all the time, use flawless, and have better picture on their own sourced channels, the same picture on the others, and no buffering. I don't see the down side that would put Ace above it, particularly when you say flawless has all the channels you want and ace is missing a couple.

I currently have ace running on my enigma2 box and sometimes the stream stops and needs me to change channel and go back again to restart it. Other than that, no issues except i would prefer the fhd channels were sharper, which is why I plan to test out flawless early next year as they have said they will be sourcing a lot more of their own channels by then and I am hoping they are a lot closer to proper fhd quality.

Flawless have shocking customer service run by jumped up bullies, I just got my sub cancelled because one of the admin team said I posted asking for help in the wrong thread of their facebook Support group!

I've had Flawless using STBemu on Nvidia Shield TV for a few months and they're better than other services I've tried. Buffering hasn't been an issue - a channel either works or it doesn't and they mostly work. My only complaint is lack of catchup for American channels. I get that they're a UK operation, but still...

You made the wrong choice...

I was with flawless for about 6 months, they were great at the start then every single match day it would buffer like crazy, I assume you don't watch football. As this is my main reason of watching TV when I do, 7/10 is very kind. When you mention it to them, it's always your fault and then they block you from support.

As a UK user on flawless for my needs its been pretty awful, I only use it for epl and the sly UK sports channels on match day are unwatchable.
