Beware of ace-tv

by ReDeviL16

I will make this short if you are ok with unwatchable streams during sport events then their service is ok, if you want it to watch big live events then you should never use their service,

I have 200Mbps connection and i couldn't watch anything with any quality even the SD channels during the match

and when I asked for a refund to bad i've passed the 12 hours limit lol not even 24 hours

I won't talk about other aspects cuz as I told you I only care about sports events and it was horrible experience for me

im fairly new to the IPTV world but heres my 2 cents: All people bitching about crapping streams should buy a normal subscription then bitch to virgin, sky or whoever. Its a bit like crying over a free gmail account...

Its a pain, I agree but ffs get some tissues and get over it

Last I knew Ace offered a free one day trial.

If you were going to draw an absolute conclusion like this after 12 hours (every service will randomly fail you on big events at some point btw), why not go that route first?

Ace are mostly ok, but today and yesterday sky and btsport channels died during matches. Seems they have a link with fab also since fab was also dead at the same times.

lostone36

I have had Ace for months with no real problems, but that isn't to say that you didn't have problems. Can I ask which big event Ace failed you on?

Damn Was considering to sub to Ace-tv ( and heard mostly only good things )

I will be absolutely honest here. I have nobody else to compare them with, but I've been with ACE for about 3 months and have been very pleased with them in general. Their support is superb and very quick response times, I'm talking minutes mostly for queries. I found them through reviews on here. I wanted a reliable sub for UK sports mainly, particularly football. I do get booted off from time to time which is inconvenient but from what I've read, this seems normal for IPTV. I've always been able to reconnect quickly. The rest of their service seems extremely reliable and they have a comprehensive UK channel list. My only gripe is that at present I don't think they provide a recording service. But it is great to have HD channels again!

I can only comment on F1 as its the only 'sport' I follow. I've found the whole race weekends to be sport on. Of course I've no idea on the volume of customers on an EPL stream compared to F1. All i can say is give them a bit more of a chance. must have been close on the 1st game of the season. so maybe a load balancing thing either at ace or globe. have you asked via a ticket?

So I downloaded Ace TV for my android box via Kodi at the start of the week there. I've been looking for an excuse to get rid of Sky TV. So was looking for IPTV alternatives and I have to say it's been excellent so far. I was quite dubious how good a subscription based IPTV service would be as i'd downloaded a few free ones and the reliability had been terrible, but been pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. I don't watch a lot of live tv these days except from football (soccer to you yanks), UFC, F1 and Sky Atlantic channel.

So Monday morning, I made my purchase and installed on Kodi, also uploaded their EPG which was smart, slick and easy to navigate. A good EPG really makes a difference with IPTV I think and the one you get with ACE is good but I'm digressing here, so back to the quality of the IPTV itself.

Monday night, there wasnt much football (again, soccer to the yanks) on. I did find on BT Sport HD2 that they had a German Bundesliga 2 match on, FC St. Pauli vs Dynmo (cracking game by the way 2-2 it finished). Sp put it on to test it out. Quality was excellent, was an HD stream, no sound issues it buffered once in the first half for 5 seconds and then again the second half briefly. Flicked it over to sky atlantic to watch Game of thrones and was a perfect HD stream, no buffering or sound timing issues.

Tuesday night, watched the Supercup between Man Utd and Real Madrid. Again great HD quality stream. Buffered only a couple of times briefly. I expected due to the stature of this match that the traffic on the stream would have affected the quality of it massively, but it was much the same as the FC St. Pauli match i'd watched on Monday night.

I realise it's early days but cant fault it. I think people need to remember that this is Internet Protocol television, it isn't going to be 100% perfect every time. There are going to be factors that will affect the viewing from time to time. If you can look beyond that, then it's a great purchase.

If you cant and need to have perfect viewing of tv every time. Then you would maybe best sticking to subscription television.

I've been with Ace since March. They showed the last Eubank Jr fight with no issues at all. Chelsea v Burnley today was spot on, although I had to go through the list to find the stable stream.

They added another supplier in the last week which has given them alternative FHD streams for Sly Spurts which have all been stable.

I am in a unique position to provide input in this thread

My subscription to ACE recently expired and I can confirm that I am looking for another provider.

Overall the guys who provide support are really great in terms of support. They really do provide timely and friendly service.

That being said the product leaves room for improvement.

The channels take a longer than expected time to load. Sometimes 3-4 seconds. You will see a black screen and need to wait to know whether it is available or not during these 3-4 seconds.

I experienced times of lag so bad that I needed to switch to youtube. I contacted them for support during this time and it was resolved, but it happened too often and I was not always motivated to login to my support and launch a support ticket. All I want to do is watch TV.

Some channels such as BABY TV play but with no audio.

Some channels simply do not work.

The EPG is about 80% reliable, as some times it is out of sync.

They have a timeout period whereby a channel will simply cut off after a certain duration of play. You are forced to exit choose another channel, and then reload the channel you were actually watching before the timeout.

All in all, they are 'OK' considering it is IPTV, but I am looking for another provider right now.

Ace has been flawless for me last couple of days. Watched LFC - Hoff game without 1 sec of buffer. US channels have been perfect so far as well.

Edit Been subbed for 3 weeks now. Overall great service.

Redevil1987

Yeah the sports events like EPL buffered all the time

Rocketstreams was a much better service with better channel selection

mug3n

ace buffered worse than fab for me. glad i tried their 24 hour trial first cause it would've been a waste of money for me otherwise. tried most of their US/CA sports channels, buffered like crazy on all of them.

and so, still on the quest of looking for a stable streaming service...
