It's time, it's time, it's Vader time...

Little background, I signed up with Rapidiptv for 6 months, let it expire, tried Fabiptv, Flawless and Settv. Next up was Vaders and I ended up buying it, but for only 3 months to start. I run two android tv boxes as primaries so I need something for both. I tried Vaders and below are my pros/cons:

Pros:

  • The beta EPG guide is super slick and have had no problems with it
  • have tried several sports streams at peak periods and had no buffering and great HD
  • prime channels work great, no buffering
  • Integration with Kodi 17 for on demand movies and shows is great and works very well

Cons:

  • no standalone android app. Would prefer to have this as an option and not a big fan of perfect player
  • had some buffering at random during the day on Friday, although not sure if it was Vaders or my internet
  • some items on demand (ie.Despicable Me 3) are listed but no sources

TBD

  • PPV. Looking forward to seeing how well the stream is with an event

Overall this works for me and I'm satisfied paying $18 CAD per month for a 3 month term. I will update once I've had it for a few months.

No stand alone kodi app? I bought vader from Boom Boom Media and I had a kodi addon.

i bought one month to try out from Boom Boom. installed it on 5 firetvs in our house. Really like that you can use 3 at the same time. Really slick in Kodi, especially the beta guide. What is the issue with having an android apk?

I already have SS but I am looking for another sports provider as well. I hear Vader uses SS for sports, is this true? I guess it would be pointless to pay for Vader if they use SS, so can someone please let me know if this is correct or is there a difference?

Ive tried using Vaders on a RPI3 using the kodi app, Apple tv4 with an m3u playlist file and on a windows 10 pc using the web player and kodi as well as an m3u playlist through VLC. I have tried with and without a VPN (multiple locations and speed tested to at least 60mbps and sub 100ms latency) Yet I have had the service lag to the point where channels are unwatchable. Are there settings that need altering from the default?

I keep having stuttering issues. it may be on my end though. I do have a high end network in my house and 175 internet though so I doubt it. have to test more.

xman-111

you can't use it at different places at the same time. have to be in the same house and pretty sure not on a mag device.

I haven't experienced much stuttering at all. Only twice in the last 8 days have I experienced buffering and it was at the oddest times. Do any other Kodi addons have issues? Another option to try is perfect player. Boom has a video on how to set the app up. Try that and see if it makes a difference. I prefer Kodi myself but if it eliminates the stutter, that'd make a difference.

Can't go wrong with vaders tv, especially if you love sports. Inside the kodi app they have a category called Match Center, it has all up coming events organize by day and time they come on. I have had very minimal buffering, only had sub for 1 month though thinking about extending it for longer! I might give Gears TV a try first though
