Ace - The Review

by Jonnythebull

Just a quick review for those thinking of joining....

I was recommended Ace by someone after a 1 year sub with Ruya which almost put me off IPTV altogether! Whilst I can't knock the support from the provider, the actual services itself was 9 out of 10 times awful and unusable. Buffering, freezing, kicking me out and any HD channels that worked ended up going down and the SD channels weren't the best quality.

Anyways, I decided to ask for a trial of Ace, not really expecting much given my last experience, and the fact that this was about a quater of the price Ruya charge for a year subscription.

Boy was I wrong!

Immediately I was impressed with the channel quality. SD channels look great and HD channels fantastic! Pretty much all of the main channels (Based on UK channels) give you the choice of SD and HD, with the one I was mostly interested in showing in full 1080p which looks incredible! (Roll on the start of the F1 season!!)

I haven't really spent enough time on the US channels to judge but from briefly looking at them they seem just as good.

In the 24hrs I had the trial I tried to leave channels running for as long as I possibly could to test the reliability. In the many hours I sat in front of the TV working my way through a multi pack of beer, I experienced buffering probably no more than 3 times, all very briefly and none of which really interrupted my TV binge session.

After the trial I was nothing short of amazed that you could get this sort of quality and reliability for the price they charge. I took out a year subscription straight away and it's been just as good as the trial was a month and a half into my year subscription.

On top of all this they're incredibly quick to reply to any queries you have and once paid I was set up within no more than 5 minutes.

I've tried to be as honest as possible writing this and even tried to think of a negative point, but so far the only one I've come up with is the missus is now more interested her TV shows than with me in the bedroom!

One thing I will say is IPTV is not perfect, it's just the nature of the game. So whilst so far Ace has been pretty much bang on, I know there will be times they'll have issues and downtime etc. If you want a TV provider that never has any issues or downtime go and pay for the legit thing and pay hundreds of pounds a year for it.

As far as IPTV goes this is as close to the real thing as it gets and I really can't recommend Ace and their team enough. They've been brilliant from the trial until now so long may it continue :)

(Using via a Fire Stick with Kodi/Ace add-on. Full package)

I just signed up for ace and love it! They're Facebook page is also amazing. I think the thing I love most is their willingness to support Apple TV. I know anyone with a m3u can support it, but they offer setup tutorials for it. So far I'm in love. Great customer service and lots of channels everything I want! Final note it works great on GSE IPTV on the Apple TV!

i agree! Ace is by far one of the best services i've had! the only thing that i was have to say is that i wish they had more US/CA content! the customer service over there is A+

Anyone know who to contact to get a free trial?

Never sign up for a year. These IPTV resellers are short lived if you haven't noticed yet.

Been researching providers for a few months now, and maybe 6 months ago, I started a few trials here and there. I eventually stopped looking for different services when I found these guys. Firstly, as everyone knows, the technology can be a little sketchy at times due to the nature of the beast, but as far as support goes, I gotta say that these guys always have their finger on the pulse with bringing stuff back up and addressing issues. The attitude of this team was a breath of fresh air, and the uptime has been amazing. In the time I have been with them, I think they went down once for a few hours, and immediately they reported there was a problem and it was being addressed. Within the hour there was an honest explanation of what was happening and how everything was going. I'm noticing that there are often upgrades and slight modifications of content where Ace has made the experience improve. The service is compatible with most forms of box, and as well as the knowledge base to get you going the individual support offered has been second to none. My only gripe with this service is that occasionally, the EPG needs to rescrape, which takes the EPG list offline for a short time, but they do seem to consider how long the EPG goes down for. It doesn't effect the streaming in any way, but it does make it slightly harder to find what you're looking for. I also have a feeling they are always looking for a better way to do that and it wouldn't surprise me if that issue was resolved one day. Also, some channels have no EPG data at all, but personally I find the EPG issues to be minor, and have little impact on more important features offered. At first I thought the channel list was a little small, where other services offered thousands of channels, but I soon realised that the channels were important to me and delivered the content I wanted in decent quality, with high stability, at a reasonable cost. Definitely worth a look.

I've got to add my 2 cents/1euro/.0000002btc

Found out about ACE-TV from /r/iptvgta (a private group). Didn't even bother with a free trial based on the reviews I read there.

Not only are the (most) of the streams in true HD, but, (most) of the audio is in real stereo too, not mushed down compressed mono.

This IS the iptv provider if you have a full on immersive sound system, (like me).

heres the thing. we use kodi and the kodi remote on IOS to do our channel hopping. while the kodi remote leaves a lot to be desired, its how my mrs has changed the channels for nearly a decade. I've endured no end of huffing and puffing over the years and with the last iptv service i subscribed to she literally said 'I cant watch TV because the channels arent in order'. Well not so with ACE what a fantastic well laid out epg.

Streams are mostly spot on, although we did have an issue with eastenders the other night and I could see the steam coming out of her ears. A quick flick to the NI BBC One (which is actually a better bitrate than the advertised HD one) fixed it. I've since resolved this by exporting all the freesat channels from TVheadend and merging the .m3u, i say merge I mean copy and paste a few lines.

Finally I just wanna reiterate what others have said about the customer service. It really is first class, like an answer in 5 mins first class. So many people that host these things are total douchebags but I've found the guys at Ace to be, well.......Ace

gave these a month trial after pretty decent reviews on here, just taken out another month as overall, they're pretty decent - quick customer service and streams aren't too bad, a few freeze ups but could be down to my ISP!

the only gripe is the very limited VOP offering, they need many, many more Movies/Series, haven't watched a Film yet, that doesn't freeze big time and need restarting at least once - the rest is all good though!
