Rocket/NFPS/IKS66 Review

by acaoacao

This service takes the cake for confusing people on what to order and why they have three services. I will let the secret out. Rocket/NFPS/IKS66 is the exact same service. Why they hell would they give it a different name? So from what I gather IKS66 (aka IPTV66 is the name given to month subscribers. NFPS/Rocket is a yearly subscription. Obvious these guys do not have a marketing degree. You gain more brand recognition if you do not confuse people.

So far... the price though a reseller on ebay is amazing $4 a month (PM me for link). So which service did I sign up for? That would be IKS66.

I use STB emulator and during the first day 80% of all the channels did not work. I was not happy. It turned out I need to send the device ID. Once that was fixed.. the service is actually pretty good.

The channel list is here. http://iptvtalk.org/showthread.php?24569-IPTV-Channel-List-Official

The quality is pretty good. No skips and no buffering. Good selection of channels.

The organization is not too great. They have categories by topic of Culture, entertainment, information, Science, Children.. which are good categories but they mix all the langugages in there! Not thrilled with this.

Most IPTV services do not have user group support... but a good thing about this is server is there is a decent active user community here. http://iptvtalk.org/ when crap hits the fan it is nice to know others are suffering with you.

With this service you can move the service from one device to another. Rocket/NFPS/IKS66 allows you to change MAC addresses.

HOWEVER, Rocket/NFPS/IKS66 requires a login and a password. You have to do this when your mac address. This is kind of a pain for me since I move from firestick to another.... i wish they get rid of it.

Great prices via reseller on ebay, good quality streams, bad organization by language, good support.

As far as I can tell IPTV66 has major problems. Many like myself get "STB Blocked" in spite of multiple resets, clearing and re-registering mac, changing to the "new" url. Email support and you get referred to the forum. Ask too many questions there and you get locked out apparently. It's the worst reseller I've tried.

This is one I haven't tried yet. I'm pretty happy with IPGuys (a.k.a. cod123, etc...they all do it). On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate their reliability overall in terms of channels that you want to watch actually working? I'm tempted to give them a try. They would be the 7th or 8th portal I've used. I don't mind paying for a month to see what's available, but if streams are constantly freezing or failing to connect, I move on.

How is NFPS going on for you, after a few weeks? I'm looking for a very cheap provider with lots of US channels (especially news&entertainment)....VOD and timeshifting support would be appreciated as well. What do you mean by needing a login and password? Are they provided when buying the monthly from eBay?

Based on this review and the fact that it's so inexpensive I signed up today for a month - so far for 4 bucks I'm impressed!

I think they removed the requirement for login/password - at least for me first time setup all I had to do was enter my MAC address into their webpage (that's real nice being able to change your MAC address yourself whenever you want), enter the portal info into stb emulator, and voila, I was rockin'. Again, no need for me to enter username/password so maybe things changed recently?

Will report back after my month is up... looking for a backup to use with iptvexpress. Big thanks to the reseller mentioned in the sub-$10 thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/IPTVReviews/comments/5s58du/sub_10monthly_iptv_providers_us_content_preferred/

He responded to my email within minutes and had me up and running smoothly in no time.

If you need a reliable IPTV, stay away from IKS66 and Co. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for!! They have many channels, but always have many down or not watchable. You never know when and what can you watch.

Maintenance takes 1 week and you can watch blank screen during this period. Announcement says only 36 hrs. Apparently during every maintenance this is the case. Resellers are screwed during this period, because their customers will complain, rightfully.

Support is really non-existent! They refer you to a forum, where a few impatient, arrogant, thin skinned amateurish fellow give half answers here and there, when they feel like. If you ask too many questions they ban you apparently or close your threads. If you point out flaws in their service or ask for any improvements, they label you a spy/mole from another provider. They are willing to argue with customers publicly to have the last word. Bit of paranoia and insecurity combined. It shows lack of manners, education and real understanding of what customer service and support is about.

Frankly speaking, you can only compliment about their service, otherwise you are labelled sarcastic trouble maker. If you have cable, satellite and ANOTHER RELIABLE IPTV provider, with REAL services and support, then IPTV66 could be back up at 4th place. But with their unreliability, flaws and extremely poor customer service attitude, why would anyone choose to get aggravated for a few bucks?

NFPS, IKS66, Rocket are all the same. The service is now left to die. It was OK two years ago but now it simply doesn't work at all. They make you pay for a year in advance with no monthly options. If you complain about the service on "iptv talks" then you get banned from the forums. A quick look through the form will unveil a slue of complaints. I still have time on it but simply don't use it as it buffers and does that rewind thing. Cant watch a show all the way trough, frustrating and embarrassing when people are over. Any iptv that doesn't offer a monthly payment isn't the best choice as you are locked in with a useless product. Rating 1/10 avoid
